My fiancee and I are considering getting a dog, but don't want anything over 25 pounds or that will get over 25 pounds. We really don't like Chihuahua breeds because they are too yappy. We'd really like a quiet, small dog that will still let me know when something isn't right around the house. Maybe even a protective small breed that isn't the yappy type. I'd prefer a breed on the larger side of small soley because I wouldn't want the dog to be fragile or scared of bigger people since my fiancee is quite a tall man. I was also wondering if a cat is any easier then a dog as far as training and keeping in a home. We'd much rather a dog because I have allergies to some cats. If anyone can help with naming some breeds to look into that'd be great.

Ok, I have a Netherland Dwarf Bunny, we just recently found out that "she's" a guy. He's really a good bunny, he doesn't pee anywhere, he doesn't bite the furniture, and he runs around my family room in the evening. He's about 3-4 months old and I don't know if I should get him neutered. I heard that if you don't they get vicious and start hating you, and begin to be bad. Is this true? I asked my vet how much it would be to neuter him and he said about $200. $200???!!! For a baby bunny?? That's retarded. I need some help, do I get him neutered? Are all those facts the truth?? HELP!!

I have inspected them closely and they do not appear to have much of a structure. They do not move of their own accord and I cannot locate a pulse so I assume that they are not living. They taste quite bitter and smell "earthy".

Does anyone have any idea what they might be? Could they be valuable?

i aquired an 8 week old adorable rex female rat yesterday,i was going to put her in with my other rat,but when i got her home i realized the other rat was HUGE compared to her,i was afraid she would get hurt ,stupid of me for not thinking ahead as i have no other cage available but i saved her from being snake food she was just too cute, sweet and friendly to be eaten so anyway i put her in with my mama mouse and her 3 female tiny but weaned little ones, they get along well with and her mother mouse especially loves her she grooms her,and sleeps with her, brings her food and rides around on her back,do you think this will continue or will the rat hurt the mice as she gets older or vice versa, has anyone had any experience with rats and mice living together?

I have 3 turtles, 2 frogs and 2 rabbits. I want to get rid of the 2 turtles, 1 frog and 2 rabbits(3 now). Actually I'll get rid of the third turtle as well and the second frog with all 3 rabbits. After I sell them, would I have enough money to buy 1 rabbit, 1 turtle and 1 frog along with 1 snake? How much does a snake cage cost?

I have tried using just water, and I heard that you should not use soap. I obviously do not want to use chemicals as the bit goes into the horse's mouth. If anyone can help me out at all, that would be great!! Thanks

I've had her for 5 years;;I know they only usually live for 2, but she's my baby. Her name is snowflake. {How cliche.} She lays down in the cage and she's breathing really heavy. When she gets up, she runs around, then has to pause because she can't breathe. She's breathing so hard, she's shaking horribly. Her ears are folded back, eyes are narrowed, and she looks like she's in pain.

My house seems to be infested with geckos. Is there a humane way to get rid of them. I hate the idea of just swatting them and killing them. They are harmless but now there are just too many inside.

Sometimes I could swear that they do! I once just said hello to a neighbor's cat, and it meowed back at me. Also, my mother says that when she was a kid, her family had a cat that, whenever it wanted back in the house, would stand at the door and meow in a way that sounded like, "Want in the house." What do you guys think?

For example my horses have 2 waters and drink out of the right one; our dogs fight over the bed located on the right; our cats both try & eat out of the right bowl before considering the left. Is there some reason for this?
