i have a rabbit and the cage i have 4 her...doesnt have the plastic around it to keep the wood chips from coming out and so every morning i get up and theres a bunch of it on the floor from where she dug and threw some out....! I have newspaper under it BUT she bites it and trys to tear it out...wut can i do ????

try a cardboard box around it like the short long ones you get for beer at the store. rabbits love to chew and dig in their shavings so if you have one around the bottom it will catch what comes out the side. you could also put in an oatmeal container for her with both ends cut out. . they love to go in it and chew on it also. might give her something like a block of wood and a little hay. but try the box it should work..good luck.

if you put plastic at the bottom of the cage that will help but make sure its not some thing they can chew and choke on you want it to fit tight. the other is put a small box filled with dirt in there cage they like to dig wild rabbits make dins in the ground for there babys so this might help to..

make a wooden tray to fit the bottom of the cage with 3" high walls to keep the wood shavings tidy. Paint it with a waterproof varnish so that the urine will not cause it to rot, do not put newspaper in the bottom as the inks may be poisonous to your pet.

There isn't too much you can do as it's a rabbit's natural instinct to burrow and dig.
