he was only 4.5 months old and in excellent health, i found him lay in his shed, he was bleeting with pain, i called the emergency vet, and by the time she arrived he died, she said that she thought his death was caused by toxic poisoning, but we have no idea how or where the toxins came from. his little friend is lost without him, she is a blind, and relied on him to guide her around (he wore bells around his neck collar) i am hoping to find another mate for her as soon as possible. has anyone had a similar experience with sds in goats?

I have basic store bought bedding in his cage but he poops a lot everyday.
What's the easiest way to just seperate the poop out of his bedding without having to change all of the bedding from his cage?

I just bought a male guinea pig and thought I should get him a buddy, but I don't want to get a female for him because I'm afraid of them mating and I'm not so sure if it's a good idea to put two males together since they might fight over territorial reasons.

My 17 yr. old son just brought a gerbil home from his friend with no instructions about feeding. The bedding had instructions on the bag, but not the food. Whatever information you can give will be appreciated. I hope he survives our cat...LOL...So far, our fish has!

This is for my sons. They have two female pet rats. One of the rats always picks on or bites on the other rat and leaves read gashes that tend to bleed. The other rat does the same but doesn't leave any marks on her. They are both female rats. I am wondering if they are either bored, or maybe need another type of wood so they can chew on to shorten their teeth. They do get out every day for about an hour for exercise. What I read also is that female rats go in heat every 4 weeks! Could that be the cause?

Is it true that hamsters can survive - and even enjoy - being placed into a microwave? I have heard from 2 people that a great way to dry a hamster after bathing it, is to place it in a microwave for 3 minutes on defrost. I dont want to harm my hamster in any way, but if little Snuggles would enjoy a quick warm up in the micro then I dont see the problem... has anyone tried this?

im in love with horses.
kay.i went up to jacksonville for 2 weeks and went with my cousin to stables. she has a new horse. his name is T.J. i fell in love with this horse. now she is selling him. and since she saw me get attached to him, she sad i could have him for half the price she is selling for. i have talked to my dad about A horse before, but he said no. but i rreally love this horse, and T.J got atached to me too. i havent talked to him yet, but im gonna soon. i just dont know what to say. i really want this horse. i love horses period.
(yes i know the costs of having horses and everything else i need to know. i did all the research.)
what should i ask and say?
ever since i got back, i couldnt get the horse subject of my mind. i always have a pain in my stomache and its just driving me crazy.
that is how bad i want a horse....
so what should i do?

hello, I live in the southern central part of missouri and is very interested in gettng training for my horse and myself for dressage if a trainer could by found, everyone else is 2 hours or more from here
