Last night I noticed something was wrong w/ her & I think her bottom hurts. She scoots it on the ground. I looked & didn't see anything stuck back there. I've heard dogs have glands that need to be expressed & they do that to pop them but wasn't sure. Her poop looks normal so I don't think it's worms or anything. She did this a month or so ago also & was fine after a day or so. She eats cow knuckles (the ones from Petsmart) & a friend thought maybe she had gotten a splinter from the bone but she's been eating them for years with no problems. Any ideas on why her bum hurts??? Just hate to take her to the vet if it's no big deal but want to make sure she's ok.

i have both my male and female caged together. but i think there is something wrong with Buddy(male). He won't eat,or drink, seems weak. and he will lay near the female. if i take him out and put him back in he just goes back to her. yesterday he was making sounds i never heard him make before. sort of like crying. and i don't know of any vet in my area that takes care of guinea pigs.

I have 2 Guinea pigs, Chi Chi my girl.. and Cupid my boy ( I love my babies.. lol ). Anyways, these little boogers STINK!!.. i mean their bedding just gets so rank and soiled that it makes the whole room smell bad. Its really embarassing because i like to have company, but i dont want them coming in my room and smelling the guinea pigs cages all the time. A lot of the times i try to open the windows up to let the room air out..it might work for a little bit but when i close it the room lights up again. My dad bought me an air purifier but that doesnt even work. I use Carefresh Pine and cedar oil free bedding (the Grey fluffy kind ). I have to change their cages very frequently and im a college student with full time classes trying to work. I love my babies and giving them away is not an option. i REALLY need some tips and suggestions. Would putting Cat litter underneath help? anything? lol someone PLEASE help!!

The mother isnt responding to her foal but i have another horse who recently had a colt and she seems to be taking on responsibility. Should I just let this happen? I dont think it hurts anything.

I know some people keep house rabbits indoors, but can the same be done with ducks? My uni has lots of green spaces and a nice pond, I could take them there every day to swim etc...
Can ducks be housetrained a bit, or will they crap all over the floor? Maybe I could keep them in a sleeping box overnight, then let them run around the house or uni grounds during the day?
Will that work? Advice from people who have kept ducks before is most welcome.

My step daughter,9, is wanting her own horse. My husband and I are not real comfortable about Horses, but have been thinking about getting one for her. I have rode a horse a couple of time when i was a kid but never have really been around them. I dont know nothing about them or what kinds are better for someone who has never owned a horse. Can someone help? What kinds are good for a first timer? Are horses that have been neglected bad to have? Any other advice? Thank you!

I have a pair of Sugar gliders and they had their first baby girl in the fall. The baby sugar glider is big enough now and I'm not sure what to do. Can I keep them all in the same cage or do I need to put her in another cage. I would like to keep her but I dont really want to keep up with two cages. Help! I would like to hear from experience sugar glider owners only please. Thanks.

We got a dwarf hamster a few days ago. I know they are supposed to sleep a lot in the day and play at night, but he is running on his wheel at night it seems for hours on end. I'm concerned that he is going crazy, from boredom or loneliness? Sometimes we can play with him and he's calm, but late at night If I take him out of cage he really only seems to want to escape. The idea to have a pet is to care for them and for them to be happy. Does he just need more time to adjust to us? Should we get him a friend even though the pet store says they are better alone? I'm having sleepless nights thinking that we are being more cruel than kind to have him.

lately it seems that Thor (my mouse) has been having a hard time pooping, it might be normal it just seems different like its harder for him, what would be the best and easiest remedies for him?

Also is it safe to leave fresh veg in the cage for a day, or even just over night?
