i've been boarding her for the past 4 yrs (11yr old tb mare). i haven't seen or heard from her owner since june of 06. i foreclosed on the boarders lien in dec and plan on sending her to a trainer in the spring. she is only green broke but has exellent imprinting. she has been under saddle about 15 times in her life.
i did everything legally with a lawyer so i could make sure that she will always be mine. i feel bad for her previous owner, but i couldn't even get her to bring me 20.00 to get her feet trimmed.(yes i have been paying to have it done. the horse shouldn't suffer because her owner was a b....)
am i wrong for giving this horse a better life?

The law is based on a faulty claim of ferrets being able to form feral colonies. When in fact, most ferrets being sold are already spayed/neutered. Most ferrets could not even survive outdoors. They are domestic creatures and have been domesticated since ancient Egypt.

I've heard that mice are much friendlier than hamsters and that teddy bear hamsters are the least friendly and dwarf hamsters are the most friendly.

Does anyone have any opinion on this? I was hoping to get a small pet and I'd like something that's as friendly as possible and I don't have the room for a rat or anything else that big.

These would be pet, or fancy, rats. And if you know the average and the minimum, that would be great.

Stupid question, I know. but I see teeny tiny little litter boxes at the pet store for hamsters all the time..they even sell hamster litter, for the litter box....Is this just a gimic or is it really possible to potty train a hamster? If so, how? I've had hamsters for years, but I've never had a potty trained one.

The pigs would be in a pin, but a pretty big and open one. I would put regular pasture fencing around it. I have bobcats too, but they tend to eat the quail and cats. Will the coyotes hop the fence? And the goats would be in the 10 ac pasture with the cows. The baby cows dont get eaten, so id imagine the goats wouldnt, but those coyotes gang up. Any experience?

I lent a cage to a friend of mine a couple years back. Her rat just died and I got the cage back. She cleaned out the litter but never cleaned the wires or anything (its all metal) theres caked on crud that turned the silver into a brownish color. An ordinary scrubbing isnt going to do the trick here.. What can I use to get it back to almost new?

My grandmother told me today that she saw that pet owners die early... I have only read the opposite and that they actually raise life expectancy... if this is true I will just die early because as long as i am able i will own a dog.
