We have researched on line and found information but it would be really helpful if some one experienced this before with their rabbit , his head is tilted about 45 degree from his body

We have also called vet's in the area and they advise differently each time.

If so, get him to a vet, NOW. This is fairly common in rabbits and is usually not treatable.

I haven't experienced it personally with my rabbit, but I have heard that rabbits can get rather severe ear infections that cause them to tilt their heads. It messes up their ears and causes them to temporarily lose their sense of balance, basically. The actual term for it is head-tilt. You could google it if you want more info, I don't know too much about it, but I've heard it can be rather painful and possibly fatal. If you are keeping him outside in cold weather that may be the problem, or if he's not warm enough, he may be more succeptible to illness. You should try to get him in to the vet as soon as you can.

Head tilt indicates either an inner ear infection or neurlogical problem. The standard treatment is to start him off on some AB's incase it's an inner ear infection. If it does not improve, a vet that specialises in neurology can be of help.
