I am not allowed to have cats, or dogs, rats, ferrets, rabbits or anything else and my dad says its the poop that gives you allergys.

fish are really cool especially the tropical ones but they are SO much work and require expensive equipment to regulate the salt and ammonuim content in the water. snakes are cool but you have to buy frozen mice to feed them and you also have to thaw the mice before you give it too them. i'm sure its not very pleasant to see frozen mice in a freezer. turtles maybe but you can't play with them because they don't handle stress very well or something like that and they are ectoderms which means they need heat and room temperature is NOT an okay temperature for them to live in.
you could go to a local pet store and see what they say.
yeah, get like a bug or spider or something or you can raise a plant XD (i'm kidding, although plants are very interesting)

I have allergies to pet dander, but was able to finally get a dog. I have a Schnoodle that doesn't shed. If you're Dad's not willing to try to see if he can stand a dog then you'll probably need to wait until you're on your own.
This is what I had to do to live with a dog:
1. Buy animal that doesn't shed.
2. Bath him every two weeks
3. Wipe his paws/butt everytime he comes in
4. Use bath wipes once a week and brush daily
5. Change Filtrete furnace filter every 3 months (use purple packaged one)
6. Get him professionally groomed every 6 weeks.
7. Keep a bottle of herbal tincture (bought at Whole Foods) for animal dander which I take before I bath him so my chest won't get tight.
A lot to do, but worth every minute!

Some dogs like poodles or poodle cross (like a peck-a-poo and it is a real dog I had one) most people are not allergic to them. Then there is the hairless cat, dog and even a rat. Well I hope this helps if not you my have not beable to get a pet Sorry because I don't know what I would do with out my pets.

A dog with hair (versus fur) might work. They don't give off dander, which is what most people are allergic to in dogs. Breeds would include a poodle and a bichon frise, if that is how it is spelled.
Edit: A shi-tzu is another breed that is hypoallergenic.

you should try getting a hairless cat or a dog with hypo alerrgenic fur. Go to your local library and research different types of pets as possibilities.

allergic to fish? You mean when he "eats" a fish right? I dont think people can be allergic to fish. You could get one of those spiffy sony robot dogs.

You could get maybe an tarantula? I think if you keep your pet tarantula somewhere not near him, it'll work out. Taratula hair is nothing that will affect his asthma.
