My rabbit has very small silky, shiny hair, so it is not long. I will be neutering her soon so i wanted to make her comfortable.

Lots of places sell bedding material for rabbits. Cedar shavings and such are perfectly safe and give the rabbit something to chew. Rabbits have to chew regularly in order to keep their teeth from growing too long.

You need a metal cage with a bed of straw for a bunny. Any other type the bunny will eat it (bunnies will chew on anything wood or plastic) Good bunny cages have a drop down cavity for the bunny poop to fall down into(keeps the straw drier and less smelly)

Rabbit bed???? I raise New Zealand Whites for 4H kids. They sleep in their metal cage. No bedding. What do you think all that fur is for?
We once had a cousin visit and asked if we were worried about our dogs freezing to death outside. We breed Great Pyrenees. It seldom gets 60 below zero in Ohio.

Ha..good luck, rabbits chew on eeeeeeeverything. I have 2 rabbits..I found a cheap cat bed at a store that was made of wicker. Of course, they chewed on it, but it didnt do any harm to them. If you dont want them chewing it at all you'll have to find something they CANT chew..like a big shallow pan or something.

--if she needs to be comfy I'd just get her a regular all fabric cat bed. I got one for my rabbit (when I had just one) and she loved it, she slept on it all the time. of course, she chewed it to bits and I had to throw it out eventually but i dont think she swallowed any of it..it definetely didnt do her any harm.
