Well They Do Bite, But It Really Depend's On The Pig

Like If It's Use To Human's Then Yeah Im Sure It's Fine To Pet It

If It's Wild Just Leave It Alone And Don't Risk It Bitting You.

YES! They have big nasty teeth for chewing on roots of trees and gnawing on hard stuff. Pigs are odd things that can make wonderfully tame (albeit huge) pets but can also get real temperamental over rough treatment or dangerous if protecting piglets. I have been around lots of pigs (on other peoples) farms and it is fun to go into the paddock and throw vegies etc to the pigs and wander amongst them, but don't go near a sow with piglets or act in a threatening/rough manner toward them. I have often walked down the paddock with a big bucket of food for the pigs, they come running as soon as you bang on the side of the bucket and although they may get a bit pushy trying to snatch a few bits on the way, they were never a threat or gave me a hard time.
My father was raised on farm and says that they are harmless unless you do something really stupid- but then that applies to all animals doesn't it.

Yes they bite and will if they are provoked or hungry, in a bad mood, etc.. We just went to the PA Farm Show today and my 3 year old was petting some pigs and they were fine with it. So use judgement with the piggies.

Anything with a mouth can bite. People, too. (Little babies just getting their first teeth will try them on anything they can get their mouths on, including family members or whoever happens to be holding them.) Usually animals will bite out of fright, if you annoy them, or they just want to be left alone and someone keeps insisting on wanting to touch them. My friend's pot-belly sometimes nip one of the dogs if he annoys her too much, but on the whole, she's a sweety. A couple of dried cherries and she's putty in your hands.
