Are they harmful to humans? I am interested but who knows now.

yes, if you touch them with your bare hands or if you lick them.
After all they are called poison dart frogs for a reason and it is because the amazon indians use the poison from their skin to tip their darts for their blowpipes when hunting.

well if you headed off into the wild and nabbed one ya it'd kill ya BUT the ones bred for the pet trade have never been exposed to the plants that the frogs get their poison from so they're harmless but not cheap

yes they can be harmful. if you touch them, then touch an opening on your body, lick them(who would?), or something of the sort, yes.
