My hamster's tail is bald at the side with only a few strands of hair at the end. Is it normal?

OH MY GOSH!!! TAKE HIM TO THE VET IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!! ......Just kidding, its normal. All of my hamsters have had lil bald pink tails..I think its cute..but if it bothers you, maybe consider a hamster tail toupee?

It might be some kind of fungus... get your hamster to the vet as soon as possible! The hamster may be stressed out by going to vet, but if you don't... she might die :( And wet tail can be cured by going to the vet also. I hope your hamster feels better soon! :)

sure. it's quite normal. i've been raising hamsters for a year, their tails don't change. always the same size and bald and small.

yes, I saw hamsters at the pet store and they have tiny little bald pink tales.
