I have been using a twisted wire snaffle that is a loose-ring for my horse, I want to change it so I tryed a bit with a shank. With the shank he wont keep his head down. What is the next type of bit I should use for him? I was thinking just a smooth loose-ring?

He's pretty young, and we've only had him a few days, and he wants to come out and see us when we're near the cage, but he won't come out of his tube unless we move the wood chips around. Then he gets mad. He seems to be hungry. If we offer him food when he comes out, he grabs it and runs back in to eat it. I don't think he's had any water either... spends his whole life in the tube. Should I take the tube out? or will this stress him out too much? What should I do? we'd like to see our gerbil.

It really bothers me that there are no "no kill" animal shelters in my area. Does anyone know where I can look into getting the funding and support to start one? I almost was sick when I heard that the animals are only given less than 7 days at the shelter before they're "humanely" uthanized. I feel like this is something I should look into since I'm so strongly bothered by it.

that we found on the door step in a box, which had been sent to us from africa from a very annoying friend. Any way, we have looked after it for a year now, he is healthy and he is getting looked after properly, he has the right food, shelter, lamps, heat etc. However, we don't have papers for it. Is it illegal and if so what should I do coz I don't want to lose him?

Whenever my bunny hops around I have to watch him carefully because he chews everything up. Recently I've been very busy and haven't had time to watch him so he is stuck in his cage 24/7. Do you have any ideas on how I could have him hop around without me having to spend my whole time with him? Thanks

I am getting a saddle for my birthday in a couple of months and my mother would like me to start looking at options. I want a good, quality saddle that will last me a long time, but won't break my mom's pocket because we are moving. My mother told me that I can look at saddles that are under $700.00. Please help me! Thanks for all of your answers!

I recently adopted a skinny pig ( a hairless breed of guinea pig), he looked like he was being misstreated. Anyways, his ears look like they've been burnt all along the edges, I've been putting polysporin on them and one cleared up but the other is not, is there anything else I can put on it, I feel so sorry for the little guy, he also seems to have bumblefoot on his two back feet and I heard there isn't a cure for that, is that true?
