In my experience the regular Golden Hamster makes the best pet.
The fancy ones are skittish and bite alot, but the Goldens are pretty chill and tend not to bite.

they are very few (i think only 1) breed of hamster that is really nice, but most of the other ones are solitary, and all of them are nocturnal, so you can't keep them in pairs, if you only want one then a hamster is great, but if you were planning on getting 2, then might i suggest gerbils, they make much better pets!

Teddy bear hamsters are nice. Get a young hamster so it will become acustomed to your touch.

I prefer Teddy Bear hamsters. They are fuzzier and cuter.

golden hamsters. The nicest colour for golden hamsters is honey and white.
