I notice that he doesn't eat the food immediatly as he used to do before, he eats it slowly and does not seem to care much for his food now...so should I starve him for couple of days?

I got a Betta yesterday for the first time! I love him, and he seems pretty happy--has been active, eating, and investigating his tank. However, I have read so many different things about how often to feed Bettas--everything from once a day to once every couple days to 2 or 3x a week. I got him Betta flakes and freeze-dried krill, and he'll eat both. I just need a sensible answer on how often I really need to feed him! Thanks!

Two of my dwarf gouramis have a sore on the side of their mouth. It looks like there is something in it, it is starting to swell up but they are still able to eat. Could this be a tick?

Ok this may be a little wierd but a buddy and I were sitting here debating on the name of a certain type of fish. The fish I need the name of lives in the ocean and uses the illumination of light emitting from a small tentacle that hangs in front of it's mouth. This light is used to attract fish or ??? for it to feed on. I've tried to describe it as best as I could. Any help would be appreciated.

I have found that I had to create a secure cover because my Dargon Gobie Has a Habbit of jumping out of the the water. Why I don't Know , but I have noticed it is happens more often when the weather is pre-stormy.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this strange habit.
Thanks

My goldfish just died today, and I'm sad. (I know it's silly, but I was very attached to her--had her for several years). Any funny pet stories (particularly fish ones) to cheer me up?

I'm in the process of setting up a 20 gallon tank for my children. We have the power filter, but my kids want the bubbles just because they look pretty. Can I get the bubbles without installing a under gravel filter? How? I can't seem to find anything on the internet that explains it in detail.
