Fish - September 2006

I have a female beta, only about one inch long. Can I place her in my 10 gallon tank with three goldfish (about one and a half inches in lenght), my one and a half inched spotted pleco, and my one and three/fourths inched fancy goldfish? Or should I keep her in her tank as she is? I'm afraid that she'll be pushed around by the other fish, and bitten at.

Is it possible for me to take my pet trout for a swim in local rivers or canals? I have lead for it that I have made using the old plastic bit from a four pack. The problem is that it damages him everytime I put it on and remove it. Are there specially made fish leads. I would preferably like one with those extending handle things like you can get for dogs.

Lately he's been either hanging up top of the tank of behind his plant (which he never used to do) and when he does eat he tends to spit certain pieces back out. The other day he puffed his face out at me which...maybe he's just pissed at me and thats why he did it. He used to be so energetic and now its as if he's depressed...also today he...threw up? He ate really fast then all of a sudden this pinkish long semi thick string came out of his mouth and he let it hang there for a few before spitting it out (or letting it fall out)...and whilst this was happening he wasnt moving...

what is wrong with my Stivy Betta Fish???
