If they are not living on or in the fish they are not a parasite. They are there because you are overfeeding the fish and they are enjoying free meals. Change 50% of the water, don't feed your fish for three days (they can easily go a week without food but if they are that hungry they will eat the little pests), and then do another large water change. You may consider adding salt for freshwater if at a rate of 1 tablespoon for every 5 gallons to your tank, and to any water you add after a water change. It will help protect the fish against problems/sickness caused by an overfed fish tank. In future, feed about half of what you have been. These water fleas will disappear when there is no longer a source of food for them.

are you sure your fish didnt have babies? they are probably some sort of parasites or a bug that feeds off of algae. if you have these, it means your tank is dirty. get a grav-vac. its a siphon that you put through the gravel and it sucks out the bad stuff

have you caught anything from a stream or something outside and put it in your tank? have you bought any fish from an unclean source? cause it sounds to me like ticks....little black lyme disease carrying nasty little biting blood sucking creatures. ICK! i hope not...they are small and have 4 little legs and what looks like little teeny fangs or whiskers hanging from the face outward, almost like a third set of legs.
