I just bought 3 guppies. They were alright for the first day. Then the next day, one by one they all got sucked into the water filter. They were just laying up against it one by one till they all died. How do I prevent this in the future? It is just a 10 gal tank with a 10 gal whisper filter.

1.) How big of a tank do they need?

2.) What foods do they like and what do they hate?

3.) Can bettas be with any other fish, besides other bettas?

4.) Exactly, how big are the rice patties that they live in?

Answer all these correct, and YOU GET TEN POINTS!!!! This is also a quiz to see how much people know about bettas.

And this is a real question...

I used to have two bettas in clear plastic vases. They were males. But they never flared at each other. Same thing with my friend. But then why do they say "Never put two male bettas in a divider tank together," if they don't always exactly flare up? And at petstores, all the containers of bettas sit next to eachother. THEY NEVER FLARE UP! Do they really only flare if they are in the same tank? EXPLAIN ALL THESE CORRECTLY, GET 10 POINTS!!!!!!

Hey guys,

Could someone help me find a smaller aquarium kit, like ranging from 1-10 gallons, around 5 would be best. Online sites would be good. Like price range would be around 1$ to about 50$. Also around the 5-10 gallon range, how many small fish such as platies or mollies or freshawater fish like that could I fit in it? How many small freshwater fish could I fit in my 2.5 minibow i have now? I mean, since they're so small, I would think I could fit atleast like 3 or 4, or am I wrong? Any good internet ot store deals would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I still have 1 male betta, and 2 small platies in my 2.5 mini bow, and they are very very active, and look as they are in really good health even though the tank is on the smaller side. Could I still try to fit a very small, smaller than 1 inch, african dwarf frog? If so, what would I need to feed him, and how would I need to take care of him? I would really want to try to squeeze in one of these little guys!! :) If you have time, would you please give a detailed answer? :) 1 more thing, would it really harm my fish bad to squeeze him in, or??
Thanks a bunch

So, I have 2 sunset platies, and I know that one is a female, but other one I'm not sure about. I thinks they're both females though. Could one still have fry in it's belly form when it was at the pet store? The smaller one seems to chase the bigger one sometimes, so is it probably a male?

I have 1 small male betta and 2 small sunset platies in it. Do you think I could fit anymore small platies in it? Right now I have a filter, and the water temp ranges from 73-78 mostly. Could I try to squeeze in a few more fish?

Where can you find cheap and good quality betta tanks/vases, perhaps with a divider, and you can get them in stores? I want them from $7 to $20. If you find a store, could you perhaps give me a website and recommend certain tanks? I have a betta someone gave me and I am probably getting another, so that's why I wanted one with a divider. Could you help???

I just bought a betta fish (his name is Steve), and the bowl he's in has no filter, no aeration system, etc. How important are these things? I've seen bowls without them before... Will my fish die without them? I treated his water and everything, and I will change the water every week, but is there anything else he needs?
