I still have 1 male betta, and 2 small platies in my 2.5 mini bow, and they are very very active, and look as they are in really good health even though the tank is on the smaller side. Could I still try to fit a very small, smaller than 1 inch, african dwarf frog? If so, what would I need to feed him, and how would I need to take care of him? I would really want to try to squeeze in one of these little guys!! :) If you have time, would you please give a detailed answer? :) 1 more thing, would it really harm my fish bad to squeeze him in, or??
Thanks a bunch

And no, I do not have a heater, but I do have a lid light. I live in cali, so the water is always in the 70-80's range, usually around 75. Are the african dwarf frogs less of the biological mass than the sunset platies, because do you think I could also fit in a male platy or no? is taht overdoing it?

Is there a heater in your Mini-Bow? All of the creatures you mention are "tropical" and require temps in the range of 74-80 degrees.

The dwarf frogs are a very small bio load on a system and should not cause any problems.

Don't forget to do regular (weekly) partial (25-30%) water changes to keep the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels from becoming toxic to the fish.

Christmas is coming up. Why not ask everyone for gift certificates from a favorite pet store? You can buy yourself a larger tank kit and expand the number and type of fish you have. You can use your little tank for fry and quarantine. Even though the frog would breathe air (and the Betta gulps a bit of air too), the bio-load from waste in a tank that small will slowly poison your fish shortening their lifespan drastically. Since the frog has no scales, it would affect him the most.

I would suggest you get a bigger tank if you want to add more fish or anything else. 5 gal would be fine or bigger would be better incase you get more craving for more fish and frogs. lol

maybe it would be a good idea 2 get a bigger one first, like a 5,7.5 or 10 gallon first
