I have heared some say that no good breeder advertise their kennel on the web. But I am not convinced. A lot of good breeder are on breeders.net and even some on puppydogweb.com What do you think? As a beginning hobby breeder I need to do something.

My dog came inside the house from my backyard an hour ago. Recently, we notcied that her snout is incredibly swollen on her right side. We looked in her mouth, and we saw a red spot, but she wouldn't let us look more because she was in pain. She is breathing funny, and will not eat or drink. What is wrong with my dog?!

I know that there are tons of questions dealing with crate issue. But since it is my own personal crate experience I want my own question. OK, so I have 8 week old puppy Rottweiler and I am trying to do the crate thing. My last dog was never crate trained. I got him last night and he was so tired he spent a ton of time in his crate. Now today, I have had a neighbor let him out every two hours. Now I am home and I am continuing the crate training. We have been outside for almost an hour playing. Then I put him in his crate and he is screaming! It has been like twenty minutes. Should I leave the house? Should I ignore it? Help! I do not want to give up but he is making it very difficult!!

I recently got flower beds in my backyard, before my backyard was just grass and they were free to roam wherever they wanted. Now they walk all in the flower beds. Sometimes they even poop and pee in them. How do i get them to stop doing this?

I'm from Dubai. I have a 14-month-old Golden Retriever (named Rico). He lives in his airconditioned doggy home outdoor in our fenced yard.

I feed him dry food. He started with Royal K9, Nutro, Pedigree, & longest time on Eukanuba. Just recently, I started using Purina & he loves it. I tried many brands to find the perfect one because he used to not eat unless we put fresh boiled chicken on the Eukanuba; which eventually spoiled him, but he would never eat dry food alone.

On the other hand, with the Purina Puppy Chow it seems that the he loves it! I've been very happy with the fact that now he's gotten used to the Purina & eats it as soon as the bowl is placed down, but another thing bothers me. It's that what I've learned from online research that Purina, Pedigree, & Eukanuba just aren't the best brands out there! Ignoring price & considering my situation, & choosing from dog dry food availability in Dubai, what would be the best:

Purina? Eukanuba? Pedigree? Royal Canine? Nutro?

The dog was layin in the chair and my daughter was laying with him, my son then got on as well and cuddled the dog. The dog growled and went to bite, my son moved out of the way. I think maybe my son kneeled on his paw or something to hurt him. It is so out of character and i am completley gutted. Ever since he was a pup they have played together. Can i ever trust my dog again? (my son is 3 and my dog is a boxer). I know i need to talk to my son now to make him understand what happened, it has really scared him. I love my dog so much and it would break my heart to have to get rid of him.

We have a small house dog that keeps going under the bed and crapping there. We let both our dogs outside regularly, and we can't keep them out all day or night.
What can we do to keep the dog from doing his business under the bed?

My 7 month old Brittany has seperation anxiety. If someone in our family gets up and walks into another room, she has to follow. If we go upstairs (where she isn't allowed) she cries until we come back downstairs. When we leave her home alone (not for more than 2 or 3 hours at a time) she freaks out. We crate her when we leave, but tried leaving her in the bathroom with her crate and she ruined the door knob. How can we make her feel better about us leaving? It makes it hard for us to run errands because we feel horrible that she gets so upset.

He's a four month old chihuahua and we have two younger kittens. He's constantly bothering them. I think he's just playing, but he's too rough. He also takes other items and tries to destroy them and sometimes he'll bite at me if I try to stop him.

It's getting over 100 degrees here and I worry about my dogs when I'm at work. They're in a dirt floor dog pen outside with alot of shade, water in a bucket attached to the pen (so it won't spill, I add a big chunk of ice to it too, and I also order 3 MiraCool dog pads. My dogs are healthy golden retrievers and one border collie/great pyrenese. I have no neighbors, so no one is around to check on them and I can't leave work to check on them either. The pen is large, and they also have a house they can go in and out of at will. The entire pen and the house is under lattice for shade. Anyone have any ideas on anything else I can do to keep my dogs safe in this heat? My husband doesn't want them left in the house for fear of fire.

Am I being a worrywort, or am I right to be concerned about the heat and my dogs?

She's about 20 lbs. and in very good health and I just thought it might calm her down a bit when we fly. I'm going to the vet next week and I'll ask her as well but I'm just curious if anyone has any experience with this.

Thanks!

I have a four-month-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy that I kept out of my last litter. I have not had a puppy for a while and I know a lot more about conformation now. The breed standard calls for a short loin. This puppy has a long loin and very little rib. My question is will this correct its self? Is this normal? Like I know that puppies often have over sized hocks or too much dome between the ears, and this often corrects its self.

I will have some one look at her soon. I just wanted to see what I could find here.

Thanks
