Hi,
Most dogs enjoy veggies, and they should them in their diet. I believe science diet is one of the most commercial dog foods on the market. You can cook for your dog, entire meals, that are quick, easy and inexpensive, and his him variety. You'll have a happier, healthier dog.
I don't recommend that you feed broccolli, but carrots and string beans are wonderful for your dog, it helps them digest their meat meal.

You can give your dog everything from fruits and vegetables, leftovers and doggy snacks. But dry dog food is a good source of nutrition's so mix leftovers with some dog food.
1. Dog food is a good source of nutrition's, all your dogs needs to stay healthy
2. It is good for their teeth, the rough exterior rubs against their teeth and cleans them

Note: Don't only give your dog leftovers or to much meat because they digest it easily and will get hungry pretty fast or they will vomit.

I like to give my dog special "treats" from the fridge sometimes, too. My vet told me that dogs are fine with eating any fruits and veggies except raisins or grapes, except my dog doesn't seem to like fruit, LOL! He spits out whatever fruit I try to give him. The vet also told me that anything like small strips of lunch meats, small chunks of bread, slices of cheese, etc. are all fine treats as long as I don't give him too much of it or too often. Sometimes for fun I like to sprinkle a small amount of shredded cheese on top of my dog's regular food and he loves it!!!!!

One warning- try to avoid spicy foods/meats: I thought it would be OK to feed my dog several slices of pepperoni, and he threw up in every room of the house. Give your puppy a kiss for me!!

Plain yogurt, raw organ meats (chicken, beef, lamb, duck, etc), zucchini, wheat grass, pumpkin seeds, organic peanut butter, etc. One resource I really like is Herbs for Pets by Wullff-Tilford. They give great proportional information on different ingredients (it's not just about herbs).

I look at dog food and wonder if people would like eating survival bars everyday for the rest of their lives like their pets have to. Blech!

Fruits and Veggies that are good for you are good for your dog. Try carrots, apples, grapes. My dogs favorite is strawberries. They are good with peanut butter(sugar free that is)

you know you can try anything once, just to see what your dog is going to like. You Will never know unless you try it out on your dog, I am sure you may find some very nice things that he really like to eat.
