dogs eat grass to make themselves throw up when their stomach is upset. If this has been going on a while, you probably should take the dog to a vet. Usually they eat grass, throw up and are better. They don't usually keep doing this.

Your dog is experiencing some type of stomach problem. He/she is eating the grass to try and correct this problem. The food that your feeding it is not agreeing or there is some other problem. Check with your vet for a solution. Grass is a nature Problem solver for dogs, but doesn't always solve the dog's needs.

For a dog to be eatig grass is not normal. Are you sure you feed him the right amount of food?Does he like eating the food you give him? That's probably why he is eating grass. Before,my dog used to eat grass,We thought it was maybe we were not feeding him enough, but it was because he got tired of eating the same old food.Maybe,it is somehting you gave your dig that upset his stomache,a little piece of chocolate,a bone,or anything a human might eat.Probably you fed it to him and not to the rest of the dogs and that's why he throws up.If you change your dogs eating habits and it doesn't work you might want to comunicate a local clinic.GOOD LUCK!!HOPE YOUR DOG FEELS BETTER!!

This is not normal. Did he get into anything: antifreeze, a plant, bad food?

You have indicated this is not a one-time thing; that he continues to vomit. Get him in to the vet! Don't waste any more time. If it's poison of some kind (and some nasty people will throw poisoned meat over a fence) or antifreeze from the driveway or a toxic spray that was on a plant, then he could be going into kidney failure. Better to be safe than sorry. Don't waste any more time on the internet! Call your vet and be sure to tell them it is repeated vomiting. Your dog needs to be seen today. If your regular vet can't, then call an emergency vet.

His belly is upset by something. If he keeps doing it, it's worth a visit to the vet. Grass is like Pepto Bismol to dogs. If it's an occasional thing, it's nothing to fret over. But definitely watch him for other signs too: Loss of appetite being a big one.

Dear; Dogs eat grass to make themselves throw up! You should take both to have the vet check to see what is wrong because they do this to get rid of something that is making them have sick tummy's.

I have a friend who has a dog that does the same exact thing. Just try to supervise your dog when he goes outside to the backyard and on a walk, or a run in the park. You can ask your vet if there is anything else to do.

Make sure he just ate grass and no other plants, some plants are very poisenous to dogs! If he ate grass or plants make sure there are no chemicals on them and make sure that if he did eat a plant, identify the plant and see if its poisenous to dogs.
