My dog came inside the house from my backyard an hour ago. Recently, we notcied that her snout is incredibly swollen on her right side. We looked in her mouth, and we saw a red spot, but she wouldn't let us look more because she was in pain. She is breathing funny, and will not eat or drink. What is wrong with my dog?!

Well, it turns out that my dog was bitten by a baby Pacific Diamondback. She is currently being treated at a local vet hospital. Anyway, thank you all for your help. I actually did try the Benedryl. ^^

Swelling on just one side could also indicate a venemous snake bite. Like said above, you really need an emergency vet.

Most likely your dog is having a reaction to an inset bite or a bee sting. If she's having a hard time breathing I would call your vet however you can use regular benedryl to help her. Vets prescribe Benedryl often to treat allergies or allergic reactions in dogs

Well.. if she won't let you look, then you should take her to the vet.. They know how to look in a dog's mouth and see what the problem is.. Oddly enough while you are there, he'll be able to help her out.. if she won't eat or drink, and her mouth hurts, she is breathing funny.. It really is only a matter of time til she dies.. Why not get the vet to take a look..

She was probably stung or bitten by something. If she is having problems breathing then she needs to see a vet. If she can breath then give her two doses of benadryl lb/mg four hours a part to take down swelling. o if she is an 80lb dog use 80mg of benadryl. Or a 20lb dog use 20mg benadryl. Two doses given four hours a part should take down most of the swelling.

May be an allergic reaction to bee sting or spider bite. Sounds like an emergency because of the breathing. Call vet.

Call the vet immediately! She may have been bitten or stung by something that she is allergic to and may need emergency care.

she could have gotten stung by a bee
or she could have gotten into something she's allergic to.
A sollen snout is a sign of allergy, sometimes the skin around the nose gets real red too.

Contact Vet ASAP. Could be insect bite, snake bite or abscessed tooth. Any of the above could cause death if left untreated.
