The Alaskan Klee Kli looks like a miniature husky: http://dogbreedinfo.com/alaskankleekai.htm
However, I've never heard of a miniature German Shepherd that wasn't just a German Shepherd runt.

No.
The closet thing to a miniature German Shepherd would probably be a Cardigan Welsh Corgi. They have the German Shepherd type ears, the herding instincts, the watchdog and the bark to go with it. Not to mention, the deep loyalty.
I would say the closest thing to a husky (that isn't a designer "breed") would by a Shiba Inu. Regularly, people ask if Suki is a baby husky. She has the similar wolfish mindset often and she howls more than she barks (very husky-like).
There are also many shelter mixes which resemble small huskies or German Shepherds.

No there is not a miniature breed. German Shepherds Dog Breeders and Societies prefer to keep the bloodlines clean. There are times when a German Shepherd may mate with a smaller breed of dog, but this has nothing to do with dog breeders. My brother has a dog that is part German Shepherd and Border Collie. Yes there are hybrids of German Shepherd dogs ... Shiloh Shepherds, King Shepherds, Shepadoodle, etc.......' Technically there is no such thing as a miniature German Shepherd, but a lot of breeds are being miniaturized. They are miniaturizing Staffordshire Terriers, Border Collies and various other breeds, but most are not officially recognized as show dogs. ALL true German Shepherds are just that and to miniaturize a breed it means mixing that breed. In checking about this question I discovered this answer "Dwarf German Shepherd Dog. This is not a miniature version of the breed, but a genetic defect that can cause multiple health problems and is referred to as pituitary dwarfism. It appears to occur in many different families, and afflicted dogs require lifelong veterinary care to maintain health and coat. Dwarves are usually identifyable at birth, and are not simply runty animals stunted by health issues. Secondary problems include pannus, thyroidism, allergies and poor coat. Many can become nearly bald with age, and none grow much larger than 20 or 30 pounds. The temperament of dwarves however appears unaffected, and they show the character typical of their family. If well cared for, they can live a long and happy life, and make a charming companion." taken from:The Illustrated Standard of the German Shepherd Dog Written and Illustrated by Linda Shaw MBA

Re: "Miniature Huskies"
There is no such thing. There are unethical scammers who would like you to think that is what they breed, but what they're doing is breeding unhealthy, undersized dogs to one another and selecting for size above health, temperament, or any other responsible consideration.
Some people will tell you about the Alaskan Klee-Kai -- I suppose it's about as close to a "Miniature Husky" as you will get, although frankly I'm wary of this "breed", as well. I don't believe in the bastardization of any working breed purely for the sake of companionship.
Beware -- that's really all I can say. If you want a Siberian Husky, get the real thing from a responsible breeder, or consider rescuing a young adult.

There is no such thing as a miniature German shepherd. In some German Shepherd lines there is a genetic defect that causes Pituitary Dwarfism. GSDs born with this defect are a lot smaller then the average Shepherd, they have many health problems and they suffer from alopecia. Almost all Dwarf Shepherds are born infertile and they do not live more then a few years, and most do not make it that long.
Breeders have ruined Shepherds enough, I sure hope that no one is trying to miniaturize German Shepherds.

To the best of my knowledge, no, not either one. There is a breed of small Husky looking dogs called Alaskan Klee Kai. But I am unaware of any actual miniature GSD breed or any miniature SH breed.
Additional note:
The AKKs are NOT the same as Siberian Huskies in ability or temperament. In fact, the AKKs are quite squirrely in temperament and are extremely vocal to the point of driving you crazy with their shrieks and barks. It would take a very dog savvy person to be able to deal with the AKKs on an ongoing basis.

Don't believe so. But, the way they're "creating" new breeds all the time, wouldn't surprise me if we did see one of those soon.
