Has anyone bought a GoGo brand exercise pen before? They are available through amazon. I am looking for an exercise pen to go in my house that is at least 36in high. (my "miniature" schnauzer managed to jump out of the 24inch). I am looking for a lower cost alternative to petsmart (which is like $80).

I like the pens because he has plenty of room to play during the day when i am not here....

I brought my Lab to the SPCA to have him neutered on Sunday so he would spend overnight at the clinic and get operated on Monday morning. During his time there he broke one of his canines almost clean to the gum by biting the cage. The vet tried to get in touch with me but wasn't able to reach me in time to ask if he removes the tooth while they were operating. Now he is telling me that I have to pay for the anesthetic to put the dog back to sleep with is $100 and plus having to pay for the tooth removal AND pay for anti-biotics. When you leave an animal at a vet in their cage, aren't THEY responsible for what happens to it? If he was freaking out as they claim, shouldn't they have done something to try and calm him down? Do I pay the bill or are they responsible?

we found our dog outside dangling by his chain. we promptly took him in and gave him a warm bath and gave him some milk. when we set him down he walked around like he could not see ware he was going. he would hit a wall and just stay there. after a bit he would start to claw at the wall and then turn around. he was shakeing and acting like it was painfull for him to breath. we have put him in a laundry basket and surrounded by warm blankets. he has fallen asleep but i need to know wut is wrong with him. there are no vets around us that will see him. he is a wired hair terror. he is less than one one year old and we got him for our daughter. please help us.

My dog Mac is a 4 year old Lurcher, who three weeks ago started to toilet on the floor. I moved him into the kitchen at night and he still persists. His routine hasn't changed, he still goes out for the toilet before he goes to bed but it makes no difference. The other morning he had poo'd on his bed and today having been left alone for 3 1/2 hours he poo'd and wee'd in the kitchen despite having been let out before hand.

I have tried treats and praise when he's good but to no avail. He's been smacked and ignored and now tonight he is in the kitchen without tea (he'll do anything for food!) as a punishment.

If anyone has any bright ideas about why after 4 years he's doing this, and especially how to stop it please let me know.

My 22 month old fiest mix is at the vet now for xrays -- she was hit by a car and at the least has a broken back leg. I dropped her off at 8 this morning and haven't heard anything yet. Anyone who has had a similar experience -- is this normal, or should I start getting worried that they have found something other than the broken leg? I guess I'm being paranoid -- I had to put her brother down a month ago for a rare viral infection, and she is the last of her litter that I have.

Anyone with past experience with dogs with broken legs -- what do I have to look forward to? What kind of special care will she need?

All serious answers are greatly appreciated.
