I have an overweight spoiled little basset hound mix that I rescued when he was around a year old... the above have come since i got him... anyways one of his nicknames is "Munch" because that is the only thing he really loves to do.

We have a mixed basset-lab-we call him our bassador hound treiver. His name is Butch-we got him from the pound and his former owners had named him already. Although we think Buddy would have been a good name or Sebastian.

spending 7 years raising blue tic hounds, which are total knot heads until trained into a finely tuned bear hunting dogs, I asked myself that question many times, LOL, I think a good name for your basset hound should be "Buford" the basset.

Buster is a very cute name, but shoes that he is a bad boy. Buster sounds like a bully name, but stills stays withen dog range. Since he is obese and doesnt respond to his name much that tells you he is stubborn and like s to get his way. THerefore Buster being the perfect fit.

I think that you should name him according to somthing else and not his weight. If he were a baby and he was skinny and underweight, would you name him skinny? no. Name him something nice like floppy or georgie. Or the ever famous, Spot. Thats just my opinion so you just go ahead and torture him with a name like fatso. Hug him for me please!!!
