Sorry folks but I really loathe dogs. What's to like? They bark and they bite and they won't leave you alone. They STINK. And they smell even worse when they're wet! Yuk! AND they crap all over the place and you have to clean it up. I bloody hate dogs I do. I'm not a great cat lover either, but at least they don't do any of the above...... shudders .....

It depends on what you want out of the pet. I like birds best at the minute. I have a big fat 12 year old cat and I had to put my 17 year old dog down last summer.
Cats will clean them slefs where a dog will not and dogs stink if you don't bath them where a cat don't. A dog will roll in something dead where a cat will not. A cat will grab a small dog and hug it and hold it down while the dog is going nuts .. Funny to watch.. I seen my dogs in side the fence and a large dog outside fence. They was running back up and down the fence trying to get to each other not smart enought to find a way to do this. The cat jumped up on the gate and waited for them to get close and the cat jumped right on the head of the big dog outside the fence. The cat yelled and stabbed the big dog about 10 times and bit him a few times and jumped off the dog back on the fence and back to the top.. Kinda like laughing at him.
My cat goes to the door and meows to go out to use the bathroom. Never in the house. If I need to be out of town for a week the cat will take care of himself while I am gone but I have to pay someone to take care of the dog.
If the cat gets out of the yard it is ok, but if your dog gets out of the yard you get a fine.
Cats are better for some things and dogs for other.

I think dogs and cats are only as good as the humans who take care of them. But you gotta admit cats have an edge, the person who likes them can't get them to come to them and the person who can't stand them cannot keep them from rubbing against them. Dogs, well dogs are just lots of love on four paw. Old saying. Dogs have owners, Cats have staff.

Correct. Cats are smart too, but dogs can do a lot of things, cat cannot. Dogs can be trained in police and military works, which cat cannot do. Dogs can pursue fugitives and depend his master, which cat cannot do. Etc.

Initially my dogs thought they were better than my cats.
The cats set them straight and explained to them that God is really a cat.
Now the dogs acknowledge that the cats are superior beings whom they must play with, guard, cuddle and groom.

I DO! Dogs are definitely better amd a lot more fun. Dogs are loyal and are a geat sense of security! U wont ever see someone run from a meeeeeeeow meeeeeeeeeow!!!!!!!

I do. Never been a cat person. Dogs are just more people friendly.

Yes, but I am allergic to cats so that's a no-brainer. Really prefer dogs though

DOGS RULE!
You can't really "play" with cats. They're here one minute and gone the next. You can love, cuddle, trust, play and so much more with doggies.
