DO NOT GO TO A PET STORE - EVER.

Those puppies cam from a puppy mill with poor breeding, poor care of parents and puppies and are a high risk of problems.

Go to the Pug rescue. If you are a good home prospect, I bet they will work with you on the adoption fees.

They will know about dogs in your area - even if it doesn't show up on the web page and possibly breeders in your area who need to rehome a dog.

You may want to think long and haard about getting a dog. If you can't afford to pay more than $200, how are you going to pay for his food ($200 a year or more) and routine medical care (talking $200-400 a year) and what about emergency care or a severe illness???

Start with your local ASPCA (SPCA) and the Humane Society in San Diego.
