A Jack Russell is in heat for 21 days just the same as any breed/mix of dog.

HI!!
First of all, is this your jacks first or second heat? Are you going to breed-(if not you need to get her spayed to many unwanted dogs in the worled already) and is it a male or female and how old?If its a female and it her first heat you shouldnt breed her till her second or third heat cause she isnt fully mature in mind and body ie as she has yet to reach a safe size in her hip area and so there could be complications with her and her pups and she woudl have to have a c-section. The heat cycle is like this- its aproximately 21 days long seven coming in-like starting or light days-seven days in and seven days going out
the seven days in is when the vulva is very swollen and when she can be breed and will take but dont before atleast the scond cycle-i hope i was of help to you sweetie

It can last for 3 weeks, having both the first and last week as spotting.....once you see a yellow discharge coming from her you will know that you have about a week left to go.....During the time of the yellow discharge, if you do NOT plan to breed her, keep her away from any male, because when the yellow discharge is present that is when she is acceptable to getting pregnant.

It depends, and varies from dog to dog (breed doesn't really have anything to do with it). It's as variable as a woman's period.
Unless you've experienced your dog's heat cycle before, you're not really going to know/find out.

It varies with dog, just as with people..However, normally the cycle last about 3 weeks...

3 weeks roughly so shes got another 2 weeks left. same for all bitches.
