try petfinder.com or go to google and type in yorkie at a reasonable price in Conway,SC but thing about using petfinder is that you get to help a homeless pet

Purebred Yorkie's are going to be spendy no matter what. Try doing a search for a Yorkie rescue - Here is rescue with a member in SC you can email or call. http://www.ytca.org/rescue.html

I suggest you search for a local breeder. You will be able to see the environment is which the dog was raised (to avoid puppy mills). Also be sure to get all paperwork to register your puppy before you leave - if you are dealing with reputable breeder, you will be allowed to see where the dog was raised and all paperwork will be available, including vet records, vaccination records, etc. imagine you will still have to pay upwards of $400.00, but the breed makes a wonderful pet and will be worth every penny you spend. good luck in your search

I'm glad to see you're not considering buying from the breeder in Africa! I hope Yahoo! Answers helped you make that decision. I would check www.petfinder.com first, then your local newspaper. Just a side note: Yorkshire's can be an expensive breed to own due to the possible healthy problems and the once a month grooming. Please be prepared for that!
