I am looking for a Treeing Walker Coonhound puppy for a family pet. I would prefer to buy from a breeder for health reasons.

A German Shepperd I always wanted it so I could train it to be as smart as the police German Shepperds.

A Pitbull because I want a dog who is tough and strong and feirce.

A Caucasian Mountain dog because it's the biggest ever it grows to like 300 pounds and like 4.5 feet tall and I want him because he's the strongest and most dangerous.

Are these 3 dogs good for a first time pet owner oh and i'm gonna have one kitten with the dogs.

My neighbor told me that If I put a rubberband on my dogs testicles that they would fall off and I wouldn't have to take him to the vet to be nuetered. It's been about 5 weeks and they are still there. They are really swollen and he's acting funny. Everytime he eats he throws up. Can I give him pepto?

He is 70lbs. and 7 months old. Recently neutered. We have tried everything. He never breaks the skin, but I had to take her to the dr. today because of swelling and tingling in her arm where he got her last night. Other than this he is a very good dog, but when he goes after her he doesn't respond to any commands or spankings. He doesn't treat anyone else in the house this way. Just her

My dad saod milk will make him fat he is just a puppy like mabe 2 months or a month in a half and he is so skinny when we got him his bones showed and he is getting fater I just want to know if milk helps and what else my help and he has a bone like KINDA stikieing out is it cause he so skinny?

when I was working for a company I was backing into a driveway and ran over a small dog. I was driving a 10 ton truck hauling 3500 gallons of water. The truck made the dog look like a pancake with a wiggly tail still wiggling. Why do people think this is funny?

i just got my first dog(1 1/2 year old yellow lab male, named duke) about a week ago. i've always loved dogs, and after spending time with my friends and their dogs, i decided it was time to get my own. i have had various other pets in the past(cats, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, tarantulas, etc.) but nothing as big as a dog.
duke is currently up to date with all of his shots and has been neutered. he is an indoor dog, of course, and is very easygoing and lovable. i absolutely adore my new pet, as he is so loyal to me even after only knowing each other for a short time.
i make sure to spend time with him all day long and love to spoil him. ;-)
is there anything i need to know that i might not for owning a dog? one thing in particular is, what kinds of "table food" is totally unsafe for a dog to eat(i have a toddler who loves sneaking him scraps!)? i know chocolate is a big no no..what else?
also, any ideas on what i could buy for him(toys, hygiene..)? thanks!

Many generations of Rough Collies have kind of established an iron-clad grip on the franchise, I know. But if you could start from scratch...







....um, sorry, I always get distracted by that word...yeah...anyway, which breed of dog would you want to take over this important role, embodying (maybe updating?) all of Lassie's best values for the 21st century?

my two girl mixed breed dogs just had a litter of puppies.we have 12 puppies and they are completely winged. and we have found a home for a couple of them but we cant afford to keep up all the puppies and our dogs. we were thinking about calling the animal control shelter to see if they could find them a home. does anyone know how long they keep them before they put them to sleep?

my 8 year old is a red heeler real sweet- timid and some what of a people dog. the german shepard is one and a half years old , smart, rowdy and 75lbs. shes a great people dog and real large, yet she wants to hurt other dogs, bad. they already got into it twice and my 8 year old lost bost times. i want to know if there is something i can do or should have done to get the pup to ease up on the older dog? not to hurt her and maybe submit? please help!!

After reading up on it (and getting a yahoo answers), I realize that she could be a good search dog dispite her shorter nose. She has the right temperment. I know it takes a lot of work... but how would I go abut doing it. Is there any systematic methods to do it?
