This type of dog is not traditionally used in search and rescue. The breeds that excel in this are the sporting and working dogs such as labs, golden retrievers and shepherds. Although search and rescue is not limited to these breeds, they are the easiest to train because of their natural instincts.

You would probably be better off getting your dog into another, and just as rewarding, activity by getting her a canine good citizen title and using her as a therapy dog. Your dog, would probably be well suited to taking to hospitals and nursing homes to cheer up patients.

You'll want to spend about 2 hours a day on this. 10 min a day for simple tricks and training. But 2 hours for search dogs. You are going to have to train with more than just toys. If all the dog searches for is squeek toys then all else will be boring. Have them search for clothes from the beginning and feed them a treat everytime they find them. but dont let them play with the clothes or you will have all your clothes destroyed.

It is not in their nature. Perhaps you should have gotten a Golden Retriever instead. What would you want a lap dog to search for, anyway?

Only certain types of dogs are used for Search and Rescue and your dog is not one of them.

You can't. Search dogs are bred for that. Malti-poo's are not bred for anything other than to look cute.
