it will be great if you can provide information as of the breed of the dog. my guess is the dog think the baby is getting all the attention and is getting jealous. baby and dogs can get along if their relationship is handled properly. try to give the dog same level of attention before the baby came(i understand that might be impossible, but give as much time you can give). let the dog and the baby play together WITH SUPERVISION! then let the dog see the baby being fed before he/she get fed. let the dog knows he will still get attention, but the baby is higher in rank in this pack. the parents will be resposible for establishing the rank, or else the dog will try to be the leader of the baby by fighting your kid.

How old is the baby? If the baby is new, then give the dog a blanket or something with the baby's smell to get the dog used to that.

Make sure you don't let the dog get too close to the baby. There is a jealousy issue going on here.

Maybe speak with a dog trainer. If you love and are attached to the dog, then you'll want to solve the issue. If you decide at some point to find the dog another home, please be sure it's a good one because the dog deserves not to be abandoned or put down.

Your dog might be jealous that the baby is getting more attention than he is. Be sure to make time for one-on-one attention with your dog every day. Also, your dog may see your baby as an "intruder", in which case, you should slowly introduce the baby to the dog using a positive reward so that the dog associates the baby with good things. Make sure the introduction is highly supervised!

obedience training if this does not help get rid of the dog it may have aggressive tendencies towards the baby.
