Please do not buy from backyard or "hobby" breeders who are only contributing to the overpopulation problem. Millions of dogs are killed in shelters every year as it is.

please don't buy a puppy from the newspaper, internet, side of the road or pet store. go to www.akc.com, find the breed you are interested in and there should be a link down the left side of the screen that will take you to a l list of breeders and rescue groups.
