Giving him milk all the time like that isn't good for his belly...he will get the runs...if you know what I mean....make sure he has been to the vet and doesn't have worms....because if he does then it won't matter how much he eats because those worms take everything from him! Try puppy vitamins and a high protein puppy chow...I use purina puppy chow. Just be careful....you don't want your pup to get fat....but he should be healthy. If you choose to give him milk then try to buy the puppy formula...it's milk replacement. You can buy it at any walmart. That will help also. If you are giving him milk I would only give it to him once or twice a day. I hope this helps...I had the same problem with some of my dogs in the past and this is what I didi to get them back to being healthy again.

Growth depends strongly on what breed or breeds your puppy is. I don't reccomend cows milk, puppies tend to have an allergic reaction to it. Goats milk is what I would suggest, since it is often used as a substitute. Puppies shouldn't be skinny, but you may try giving him little bits of boiled meat. This should help add healthy weight. I had a mother dog abandon one of her puppies and I actually started bottle feeding him chicken broth when he was about eight to ten weeks old. You can also go to any pet store and buy puppy formula to help him get all the needed nutrients. Good luck!

get the puppy wormed all pups have worms and i imagine this one does also. You can start feeding the pup 3 times per day and this will definately put weight on him. Do not use cows milk, but you can go to a farm supply and buy some all purpose milk replacer and put into the pups food. This is a milk that is safe for the animals because it is a replacement for the mothers milk, and very high in nutrients. Since the pup is skinny it has been very malnourished so you need high nutrients as when they are malnourished they loose their enzymes and electrolytes. I have done this for many abandoned animals that are very malnourished.

Milk will not help. Some pets are actually allergic to our pastuerized milk. How old is he, there is a huge difference in the development of 1 or 2 month old puppies. Take him to a vet and get him checked out, they will deworm him and coach you on proper pet care. Puppies aren't just cute, there are work and require education before trying to raise one if you want it to work out well. Trust me, you need to go to the vet and ask a lot of questions.

too much food not enough exercise = fat dog. milk will give your dog diarrhea .you should take the pup to the vet for a check up the will check his stool to see if he has any intestinal parasites which all most all puppies have.if he has worms they will do 2 thinks to the pup suck is blood which will make him anemic and need a blood transfusion. and they will pull all the nourishment from is food which will keep him skinny, he will slowly starve to death the vet will have an oral medicine to give him for several days and the puppy will start to gain weight. don't forget about vaccinations and heartworm prevention.

I think that giving your dog lots of meat is going to make him fat and he just needs to stop eating so much fat.

Maybe you just need to feed him more frequently...I feed mine 2 times a day right now but when I first got her I fed her 3 times a day. That worked for me. What kind of dog do you have? What has your vet suggested?

you shouldn't give puppies human milk...at two months old, he would have been weaned off of mother's milk and eating solid puppy food by now. YOu should go to the pet store, buy some puppy food, mix it with warm water to make it mushy and give that to him.
