Wogan, our new Irish Wolf Hound has just been castrated and the vet asks if we want to keep the nuts? I suppose if we had them embalmed and he got run over we'd have something to remember him by. What do you think?

My lab has pano. I will not use Rimidill. I give her vitamin c and a childrens aspirin when it gets bad. Has anyone found something that really works well until they grow out of it?

I just adopted a puppy last week from a shelter, she is 4 months old, they really had no imformation on her. I couldnt bring her home untill she got spayed, I picked her up on monday, she does still have her stitches. My question is really kinda of concern, she isnt eating much , it is not saturday, and she is lazy. She did vomit alittle bit this morning like watery vomit. Is this all because she is still not feeling well from her surgery or should I be really concerned. her nose does feel alittle warm and dry, but yesterday it was alittle runny. I am just confused. I feel bad for her. Should I just let her be and see if she feels better. any advice would be greatly apprecited

My dog was bitten by something yesterday- a small pin prick but it caused bleeding and serious swelling around her eye and down to her throat. The vet ran some tests and didn't find any venom. Could a non-poisonous snake cause that much swelling? Or maybe it was a poisonous snake that didn't inject its venom? Any other animals that could've caused it? (We were down by a river).

Im looking for a semi-small dog, but nothing that small, that has a good energy level and has the capability to be trained well. Nothing with extreme maintenance either, such as a collie with their coat's.

Just recently, my dog has started barking really loudly at random times and I haven't been able to get him to stop. A week ago, he walked in on me watching porn in the living room and I kicked him on his side until he got out. I may have done damage to his chest which has caused this behaviour. I haven't had him checked yet and just last night when he started the barking. I had to wrap his mouth in duct tape and lock him in my basement. There are now heavy scratches on my basement door from yesterday. I was almost about to hit him on the head with the frying pan when I found this out. How can I control him?

My husky is very sick--took to ER yesterday morning. First vet puzzled-high enzyme count, dehydrated, bloody stool---came on suddenly. Called us--dog started to crash---we ran in and sat with her--she got better. She had gone into shock--they couldn't wake her---in an hour she was walking around with her IV. Vet says extremely small liver--not sure what is causing sickness---may be HGE--as tests ruled out many other things. Felt enzyme levels may be high due to dehydration. Vet on second shift calls us--he reviews x-rays 1st vet took---he feels she has a large growth. The 1st vet never mentioned this. He suggests putting her down. We decided to do that last night---then decided to leave her overnight to see how she is today. What do we do? She is only 6. We don't want her to be in pain---but can't believe the 1st vet didn't see large growth. We are thinking of picking her up tonight and taking to our vet tomorrow morning---but don't want her suffering tonight.
Any help?

For the most part, she is house broken. We've learned her "potty dance" by now, but she still has occasionally not been able to "hold it" until I get up in the morning, which is very early - between 6 and 7 am. It's very frustrating to come down sometimes and have to clean up a mess before I even get to my morning coffee! What can I do?

I'm asking these questions because my 8 month old pup barks non-stop if we're not paying attention to her. She also can't help but to nibble at my pant leg EVERYTIME I take her outside to do her business! Her dog trainer has tried to help us fix the problems, but now this so-called trainer is saying that we better muzzle her up or get rid of her. The lady says there's no hope for this pup. We've been trying to fix this problem for a few months. Do we have a bad dog trainer or are there some dogs that just don't learn? I don't want to get rid of my dog.:(

I recently bought a dog from an online ad that clearly stated "with CKC registration papers". When we met with the seller to pick up the pooch at a location convenient to both, he had "forgotten" the papers and promised to mail. This was 3 weeks ago. I've contacted this person several times to remind and was promised they would be mailed. What should I do to resolve this? The check has cleared my bank. It would seem this is false advertising if they are not turned over to me.

I heard from somewhere that husky dogs have to be half starved in order for them to be lean and fast. That if they became to heavy they would be unable to travel long distances in short they become lazy.

I was looking at buying a Shih Tzu and the breeders have switched the this America's Pet Registry, Inc. They said in the website it is becoming more widely used. I am only familiar with AKC so was hoping someone has heard of this other registration. Thanks.,
