They have really nice harness sytems for the car! These serve multiple safty purpose!

1) Keeps the dogs from distracting the driver!
2) Keeps the dogs from sliding around, which does happen on occassion
3) If, god forbid there be an accident, it can protect the dog from being projected from the car. Something that does happen very easily when not restrained.

Yeah, the assumption is, your canines needs up front with you adult males. Why could desire to you have each and all of the relaxing? you could attempt this; get an empty spray bottle, like those Windex or Shout are available. Fill it with water and the subsequent time between the canines attempt to return over the seat, spray him/her in the face. It does not harm the canines in any way, yet they actually don't love it. carry on with it till they provide up. sturdy good fortune.

If crates fit in your car, they are safer there anyway. Second choice a harness fastened to the back seat seat belt (they sell car harneses just for this). VERy distant 3rd choice collor & leash tied to seat belt.
Also they DO sell soft nylon backseat net dividers for as little as $10. Try www.petedge.com for both the harnesses & dividers.

the best solution is to keep your pets in a pet carrier that is securely fastened to the back seat. If you dont have space for the carriers, then there are seat belt harnesses you can get at Petcetera or any large chain petstore. I think its great you're concerned for your pets, and taking them out to the park...have fun!!!

They just want to be with you. They may feel ignored in the backseat. Try opening the windows in the back for them to stick their heads out. They probably will like that a lot more than being up front.
