our dog coco, is in her 2nd heat, and we really want to breed her now and then get her fixed.But she has major problems when getting around any other dogs. she is a terrier/chuwawa mix very small, about 5 pounds at the most, how can we get her to be more comfortable around other dogs? Please Help...Dont want to have a unfriendly dog, and want to get this bredding done asap. so as we want to have her fixed, after 1 litter. we worry shes 2 small, but are breeding her with a small terrier also, have any suggestions, you think would help?

omg!! pls help! i went outside to go play with my dog (a girl beagle) and give her cold water. it is very hot outside. long story in why she stays outside- crate training, stupid parents, and loud dog. i was jst petting her and then i noticed under her fur, (she has short fur) there was blood. it was like a pimple only like.. a scab.

recently. we have switched shampoos-- from oatmeal flea shampoo to some nice smelling dog shampoo that doesnt help ward off fleas.

could my dog's problem be fleas? her flea collar hasnt been on for the past few days. also, im her skin is really flaky and dry. and she sheds ALOT.
as soon as i saw this, i got her brush thingy, its like a metal comb and a lot of hair and dry skin got out.

wat could be my dog's problem? is it just fleas? if so, what can i do? and if its not, wat is it? serious answers pls.

My dog has leash agression. He is fine off the leash, and is very friendly and playfull with other dogs. I dont know what to do. I hope I can work this out, without going to a trainer. Any suggestions?

Does a registered dog have to have a series of shots after having a mixed litter. Say that a Shitzu the registered dog which is female, and the rat terrier is the male. After she gives birth to the litter does she have to have a shot to be cleaned out?

I just got a rott/lab mix and live in mesa az and this dog wandered into our house 4 days ago. We don't know how long she was outside. She won't hardly eat and has not pooped since she found us. We don't have enough money for a vet at this moment. Is there anything we can get from the store for her. Other then this she seems to be doing fine. When she came to us the weather was 110*.We would like to give her a good home and until we get on our feet......Any suggestions

we've had my rescued springer for 2 weeks since then she has had diarrhoea, around 4 times a day. shes been to the vets, they gave her some prebiotics and some chicken and rice food they sell. shes been on that a week now and shes still no better. shes also for the last week been on worming powders (for lung worm apparantly) which i dont think are helping the diarrhoea but the vet said to keep taking them. has anyone any ideas. i dont know if i should stick with the food the vets gave me at £1.20 a tin and hope it starts to clear up after the wormers have finished (tommorow). Can anyone reccommend a particular brand or diet which will help, ive heard that a completly dry food diet can help. she seems her usual self wants to go out but the vets have said she need to rest. she's also very skinny. any ideas please?

now down to the facts... my friend has meds. for his dogs and its.. atropine sulfate ophthalmic solution. my friend works with dogs all the time with his job, and he said this would work on my dog but i don't want to use it till i know for sure and i don't want to spend the 40 plus dollars to take her to the vet just to be told i have the right stuff. so can any one tell me what atropine sulfate ophthalmic solution can be used for??

I have to keep her tied up since she keeps going over to him. The thing is I don't think he can reach her, but I don't want to take the chance. How long should I keep her away from him and tied up. She gets all excited and as soon as I let her loose she runs over to him. The funny thing is the pitbull's like 8 times her size. I think she just started going to him yesterday.

I had posted a question earlier that i had a very sick dog - just had puppies three weeks ago! Wont use her tongue to eat, is having vaginal discharge!?
People responded to have me take her to another vet, which I took her to two other vets, and each vet ran a complete check on blood work exam, etc. Which I am now is the hole $1200.00 so far,she has normal levels of EVERYTHING! Including her calcium level! So to the people that were mean to me and ridiculed me for not seeing and knowing that she had Eclampsia you were WRONG! Looks like gizzzzzzy2000, (which bet their licence on it) should give up the license since that person doesnt even know how to spell it, let alone know how to diagnose, wow another know it all! All three vets are lost with what to do with her, one is calling our main university to get a consultation on what it could be. To the people that care I will be sure to let you know what they find out so you can help other's in need that might also have this experience.

Please don't jump on my back till you read on. He as very good blood lines and a good temperment, he is my service dog. The female is to and as good temperment. The trainer of my dog wants the puppies to train for service dogs because mine is so good at his job. She gives the trained dogs free to those who needs them. She would let me keep two puppies But I wouldn't becasue that would take away dogs need ed by other people like me. she dose not want to use pund dogs not sure of how they were treated and how it effected them. They are4 not going to ban pits here beacuse there as not been pit attacks for 10 years and no deaths in 20. The owner of a pit bull kennel todl her he could not think of a better sire than my Batman. What do you think.
