she will eat if she is hungry enough. She has prob.stopped eating her dog food casue you keep feeding her people food. If your desperate, give her some baby food mixed in with her dog food, and gradually lessen the amount of baby food you put in. That usually works.

Time for some tuff love! She will not eat the dog food because she will get people food. She can hold out for a day or two. If you stop the people food, she will eat the dog food. Make up your mind that you are smarter and more stubborn than she is.

If you have already tried every brand of dog food out there, then you have probably upset her tummy. When changing brands of dog food, we normally change it very slowly, starting with 90% old food to 10% new food. We change the percentages a little every day. After about a week, she would be totally on the new food.

Stop feeding her table scraps. She is not eating her food because she knows you will give her your food. Try soft dog food, most dogs seem to like that better than the dry stuff. After a while start mixing the soft and dry food, then just put out dry food. If it is the only thing she knows she is allowed to eat and the only thing she is gonna get, she will eat it. If you still have problems, I would ask the vet.

Is she sickly or skinny? If so, take her to the vet for an examination. If she is just picky, either be strong and don't give her ANYTHING except dog food until she finally accepts the fact that you are the boss and that is all she gets. Leave dry food out for her to nibble on during the day. OR, you can just give up and give her whatever she wants, which is not as good for her. Our staffy is somewhat like that, but we scramble eggs and mix it in with his food. He loves that.

When a Dog is feeling nervous, scared, sick(like a cold) they dont want to eat, its better to not FORCE them to eat because you are supporting that behavior(like somethings wrong), so that they will always act like they are sick, etc. so they can get food and wimpering sounds from their owners. dont worry about it, unless the dog starts vomiting or something is trying to get out of the body. But other then that when she get hungry(her brain gets the tummy rumble signal), she WILL eat.

I've never seen a dog, even a picky one, starve to death as long as there's something to eat within reach. People food's a bad thing for dogs, mainly because we season stuff. But as long as you are willing to give in and feed her that tasty people food, she'll beg and wait for it. But she won't starve as long as you have the dog food available for her.

I would DEFINITLY bring the dog to the Vets office. There could be something wrong. Especially if you bought her from a Pet store and not a Breeders or Sheter.

Ok ..try this ..can't be used long term ..but it works for sick dogs ...give her a little cat food ..I know sounds weird ...but it is very high in protein and is not suited to dogs long term ..but it may give her the taste for something ..like chicken ..or turkey or lamb ...then switch back to dog food ..or try her on dry wholefood she may be teething !!!!!!
