My 8-month-old Siamese cat follows me all over the house in almost dog-like fashion. My other cats don't do this. Is this normal behaviour for Siamese? Will she outgrow this?

My cat Toby was really sweet and he died when I was 8 and now I'm 10 but I miss him so much. I just want to cry and cry and cry and back then a nasty girl said to me "Oh, be quiet it was just a cat. Get over it." I have never forgiven her since.

My cat was sleepeing a lot for the past 2-3 days until finally today i carry her up to her food she seemed thristy, i figure she was walking funny because she had some kind of pain on her hips. Later i put her back on her bed and also put her bed in the floor so she doenst have to worry about jumping up and down since he bed is a director's chair with a huge blanket. She seems better now, i gave her a pinch of Ibuprofen! mixed with her food. I know it sounds crazy automedicating my cat cant be good, but after all these hours i cant get my vet in the phone and i have no other to go in this town. So she is actually walking now looking for me and all, she went to pee which is good because she havent gone for these two days. Does this behavior related to diabitis? she had a blood work not too long ago and last i knew was that she was hard as a rock. Does this illness comes up from one month to the other? what could this be? Any vets or experienced people that can help me with this? Thanks

I moved overseas to be with my (then) wife. In doing so, I gave up my two cats to my aunt. The marriage didn't work out, and I've been back in America for a few months. My aunt's taken good care of them, and they've been good for her as she's a lonely person. I miss my cats terribly, though, and I want them back... do you think I have a right to take them back, though?

My cat had his shots last week. The doc said that he has a murmur and we need to do xrays to find if this is a big problem. I want to have my 6mth cat fixed before he starts spraying. The doc said that he could dye on the operating table. This cat is in heat, attacking my kids all day and I am afraid he is going to get more aggressive as he gets older if something is not done soon. I really need to have him fixed asap or I will have to drop him off at the pound. Any suggestions and has anyone had this problem before?

This is more like an answer than a question, but its something that I believe people with small children should know. When my youngest was 3 months old I took in a stray kitten.I gave it a flea bath & set up an appointment at the vet the following day.It was very gentle and the baby just loved her! When I took it to the vet I was told that the kitten had tapeworm and they treated it and told me tthat cats get tapeworm from swallowing infected fleas when they bathe themselves.I asked if me baby could get it and the vet told me he had never heard of that happening.About 3 months later while I was changing my daughters poopy diaper I noticed small worms in her stool.I freaked out!I took her to the doctor & they said it was most likely pinworm and they gave her pinworm medication. It didnt work & the tests came back negative for human parasites. Her doctor thought I was crazy!!! Finally I took her to the local childrens hospital where I was told she somehow swallowed a flea which gave her cat

My cat keeps shaking and won't stop.He is a five-year-old male. Whenever I am holding him, he won't stop shaking. He isn't purring, though. I don't know what's wrong with him! It's mostly his left front leg. What's wrong with him? Is he okay?

This sounds like a silly question. Our kittens are a mixed variety of colours. It was my sister who brought up this issue. She thinks females can breed with more than 1 male.Is this true?I want to settle an argument. Some of the kittens dont look like the cat Ihave seen.A couple look like the mother buthere are some ringins.

If the ingredients list "animal digest" the pet food contains feces, probably chicken. Read your labels.

We are moving to an area surrounded by national park and native animals and have decided to house our cat in an enclosure 6 meters by 6 meters by 4 metres high she will also have access to the house most of the time. I fell guilty locking her up shes always been able to come and go as she pleases.

Ok so my (indoor if it matters... ) cat use to use a litter box, then as he got older, he stopped useing it. We figured the box was too small for him so we got him a new (bigger) one and he still poops and pees anywhere and everywhere and to say its getting annoying is an understatement. Any ideas?

I've been bugging and bugging my mum for the last three years to get me a cat, and she has finally agreed. She thinks that I should get a kitten from someone who is giving them away (eg not animal shelter, but from a posting that you find in the newspaper etc). She says that males are friendlier. Are theses things true? And how do I need to prepare for getting one? I live in a small flat in a clos with lots of other people who keep cats. Please help!
