My 8-month-old Siamese cat follows me all over the house in almost dog-like fashion. My other cats don't do this. Is this normal behaviour for Siamese? Will she outgrow this?

Some cats think they are dogs..........my male Siamese cat thought he was a mother. Everytime our female left the box with the kittens he crawled in and mothered them. Vet said don't worry about it.

We have 9 cats none of which are Siamese. However they ALL follow us around the house especially to the kitchen.

Siamese are widely used as a vocal breed, no longer that different cats do not walk around the abode meowing for no apparnert-to-human-causes. Your cat would smell or listen some thing that's previous our senses, notwithstanding it would want to easily be a territorial component declaring 'that is my abode'. Beats peeing around the abode, would not it?

I had a siamese mix who did that...it's all in how you treat a cat though...if you are kind and loving to them they will love you...and some cats just have a different temperment than others...I really don't think it has anything to do with the breed...my cat was called Turdy Cat...and he was constantly with me...my best friend...I lost him when Katrina blew through Mississippi but I still miss him and think of him a lot...he was really special...

normal she loves you and does not want anything to harm you. my Siamese would sleep with me and if any one opened my door she'd make a fuss until i woke up or they shut the door. Siamese are often the watch dog's of the cat world.

cats FOLLOW u cause they like u, not cause its a siamese cat it can be any type of cat! it depends on how u treat ur cat! cause if u treat them badly they wont even go to u, or near u! and if u treat them nice; they will FOLLOW u! rub against u! and the cat can also be lonly cause cats do that some times! they cry wanting someone to pet them! they FOLLOW you! cats are just cats! and what i am trying to say is; ur cat might be lonly! so i think this might answer ur question! good luck!

I have friends with siamese cats. They socialize for about 5 min. then are on their way. They meow to me. They investigate my stuff by smellling my purse. etc..They like to almost constantly supervise what I'm doing (ike a dog will) unless they're sleeping. I think it's cute. I call them my little supervisors.

If you like it, keep talking to her and give her attention for doing it. My Siamese mix does it all the time, he meows at me too like he's talking. I love Siamese cats they are personality plus. Keep encouraging the behavior you like and she'll keep doing it! Good Luck!

This is normal siamese behavior. they tend to attach themselves to one person, and stick with that person like glue. My siamese cat is crazy about my partner, and doesn't want anything to do with me at all.
