Just be watchful, as I'm sure you must be anyway with kids that age.

Make sure the kids are gentle with kitty. Kids and cats can be fantastic together, and having kitty het used to little kids while still a kitten seems like a formula for success. Just make sure the kids don't hurt or frighten kitty; that could ruin everything.

And keep the kids away from the litterbox!

I just wanted to add; make sure that there are quiet hiding places for the kitten away from the kids. That way the kitten can sleep in peace without interuption - keeps cat friendlier in the long run.

just be on top of it ! little kids don't know That they are being too ruff. I don't think you will have a problem with the five year old but the two year old is a whole new ball of wax. I have a two year old and He came up the hall with the kitten in his hands upside down saying" Mommy i give kitty kisses" and he was kissing the wrong end of the cat. Nothing shocks me anymore. good luck.

I would definitely set ground rules for the kids for the safety of both them and the kitten.

I would make sure they know to never pick it up until they learn how...I would even ban the two year old from doing it at all. Toddlers can snap kittens necks...it's horrible, I've seen it before. The kid wasn't even being aggressive either.

Set firm boundaries now...or risk vet bills, scratched up kids or having to dig a little grave for kitty.

Well let your kids know that they have to be gentle with the kittens so they don't get starched.Keep the kittens out of their room so they don't get in bed with so the kids don't roll over on them. Don't let the kids feed them for the table or their plats b/c then the kittens will think it is OK for them to take their food at any given time and it also will make them think it OK for them to get on the table and not only that but it will be harder for you to get them to eat cat food. Well best of luck!

Teach them how to handle the kitten. Second kittens play rough...they bite and scratch but they are only playing make sure your kids know this. I would also monitor play especially with your 2 year old. I wouldn't let them have the kitten near their faces ... you never know with those claws and teeth.

make sure the kids don't play rough with the kitten. They can seriously hurt it.

so, just observe, watch. Make sure they know not to pull hair, poke eyes, or otherwise torture it

I would have it declawed, because then it will not be able to scratch at the kids, andwill be safer.
