Okay heres the issue. I have two cats. They are 8 months old and sisters. They have both been fixed which I thought would calm them down. They get into everything and chew on everything. At night they are more hyper and run around and cause a lot of noise. I love them to death but I really wish they were mellow cats. My roomate has a cat too. She is 10 months old and has always been calm. She doesn't jump into the fridge or the cabinets like the other two. She is so mellow. How do I get my cats more mellow.

My poor baby has been vomiting for a while now. I took her to the vet and the first time we tried giving her one medication. It didn't stop the vomiting so I took her back. He did a CBC (all of which came back fine) and a baruim series with XRay. It showed a constricted area of the intestines. It isn't a complete blockage. So while he confers with his associate he has put her on an antibiotic to prevent secondary infection, carafate suspension and Laxatone. He also suggested I feed her Purina Veterinary Diet EN several times a day in small quantities. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with either the medications, the problem itself or the food. Also if you do use the food could you tell me where you found it the cheapest. I have been checking into several online pet supply stores and the cheapest is 17 a case with 10 shipping and handling. Thank you for your help.

Please this is a serious question, as current vaccinations in use are questionable as to safety.

Now, 9 am might not sound early to many people, but I work second shift so my 9am is most people's 5am. Now, evry morning my cat goes neurotic at 9am, waking me from a sound sleep. She yowls, runs back-and-forth, scrathes on things she's knows is wrong (destroying our woodwork :(...), and climbs all over me to get me up. At first I thought she was hungry...but she doesn't eat, she just wants me up.

Is there anything I can do that doesn't invlove ignoring her while I listen to my security deposit get ripped apart by her claws?

Our younger male cat is getting bigger, plus he is absrudly long haired, so my wife and I wondered if the older cat is getting intimidated and trying to assert his aplha maleness. We also had a guest, and the cats always act weird when we have guests.

I am not so worried about the moungint, but we are worried this might lead to spraying.

Anyone have similiar experiences with their cats?

I thought there was only one kind of vaccine, but apparently theres two, one for leukemia and one for cat flu i think?
Im only getting one of them today, and not sure which one to get.
I think she has already had cat flu and gotten over it.

He is a sweet little guy, but he fell off our balcony onto our hard wood floor foyer when he was like 3 weeks old. He seems fine, but not all that bright. I am wondering if this is a result of the fall.

Thanks!

I had a dog and a cat and they were great friends. Then the dog passed away last year, and the cat seem to miss him. So I got another cat from the rescue centre to keep her company. At first there was a lot of hissing and spitting, then after awhile they got used to one another. Sadly, the first cat passed away a couple off months ago. Now I'm wondering if I should get a new cat to keep this one company? I read in a cat book, that cats are 'lone' hunters and don't realy need another cat. In fact, it would be cruel to keep more than three in the house. I would realy like some opinions on this, as I can't make up my mind.

I have a question about my cat. I don't need anyone telling me how mean I am to him. I don't need anyone telling me I don't care about him. If that's all you have to say then don't answer it. I feel shitty already. My cat is not well. He is sick. He has been loosing weight fast. He eats but not alot. He has blood in his urine and I noticed this morning that he is not able to poop. He is old and I know he's not well but I just don't have the money to take him to the vet to get all the tests done on him and to have medicine. Yes he is one of my family and one of my kids so don't even ask if it was your kid would you take him in to the doctor 'cause yes I would but it won't cost me close to a thousand bucks. I need to know some websites that I can go to that may tell me what may be wrong with him and how to make him more comfortable. DO NOT JUDGE! I love my cat dearly. I've had him for 12 years and I'm really torn right now. I can't let him live in pain but I can't afford to

My Pug is almost 2yrs old and was totally housebroken until I went on vacation a few months ago. I take him out in the mornings before work and he does his business, but then during the day he decides to go in the house. I have tried to break him of it, but I'm at a loss.

I got my cat about three weeks ago from the SPCA. I fell inlove with him. When I first brought him home he was on Iams. That's what the shelter gave me, because that is what he was on. He was on that for about 2 weeks. I bought him Felidae about a week ago, and I poured some Felidae in what I had left of my Iams and mixed it up. He was neutered the first week I had him, and has done very well, but here's my problem. He has very loose stools, usually about twice a day. He never had them before I switched his food, but I would really like to put him on Felidae. I called my vet and we have an appointment for Friday, he also has to get his rabies shot then. He acts perfectly normal, plays, runs, cuddles, and isn't acting ill in any other way, and he still uses the litterbox. Anyone have any idea what it could be? Also, I think he may be bleeding, there is no blood in his stools, but there appears to be some around his anus, then again, I can't be sure. Any help?

How many of you cat owners have cats that pee in the tub drain? I thought my last cat was odd because he peed in the tub, but my new kitties do the same thing. If their box is getting nasty, they go in the tub. Anyone have cats that pee in the potty? How hard was it to train them to do so?

My 2 year old buff orange tabby cat Gizmo is very long and slender down his sides but his tummy underneath hangs down. I only noticed this after he was nutered. Is he fat or is this normal? If he is fat why are his sides so skinny? Why does it only show on the bottom? When he runs his belly wiggles from side to side.

For the past few days, my 1 year old Emma is attracted to 1 corner in my bedroom. She will either stare at it, look up and down like she is looking at something or paw at it. There is nothing there though! Any ideas? Last night she was pawing/scratching at it as if she was trying to catch something.

Hi, we moved house 5 months ago and when my cute cat age 18 was scared by a neighbours cat she then was afraid to go out. She's much better now but only goes outside now and then. Unfortunately she uses my small utility room as a toilet overnight! I have heard her go through the cat flap at night but she only wants to do one wee in the litter tray, so most mornings I am faced with a terrible mess to mop up! If it was summer I could probably lock her out overnight (weather is too cold at the moment) but then we would hear her constant scratching at the door all night (she is fine during the day and doeasn't wee indoors)…help!

If for example, you own a short hair siamese cat/Seal point, & 75% of her nose and the back of her paws were pink, would that mean she's not a pure siamese?

I read alot about cat pregnancy & they always say that the bigger her tummy gets, the more kittens she's have, but how big is big?! lol I know it's a stupid question, but I always wondered about it! :)

another related question is how big is a newborn kitten?
& how many kittens can a siamese cat have ? "average number".

thnx :)
