While it's true that most cats don't like to be wet, there are some that love to play in water.
We have four cats and one of them gets in the shower with my Husband every morning and sits on the edge of the tub...she does the same thing a few hours later when I take my shower.
It's not the water that they dislike, it's the feeling of being wet that bothers some of them.

Do they hate to get a bath or drink water?
My cats love to drink water. My 8 month kitten likes to drink water from the facuet in the tub even when there is fresh water in his dish. Very funny.
Some cats are just funny like that.

Not all cats hate water. I have met a few that will jump in a filled bathtub or run to where running water is.
I think it is kind of like dogs... some love baths, others don't.

cos domestic cats cant swim but 1 of mine likes to drink water from a tap

that cat species native to hot areas seem to enjoy water, whereas cat species from cold areas aren't so fond of the wet stuff. Tigers, lions, jaguars, ocelots, and jaguarundi are all from hot savannas, and they enjoy taking dips in cool, refreshing streams and ponds whenever they get the chance.

My cat likes moving water from the facuet. We got her a kitty fountain and she loves it!

I have one that loves water, the other is terrified by it.
