Nothing is wrong with your cat.
Cats love to play.
They do slow down some with age, but they will never stop playing.
We had an 18 year old cat that would just take off running, playing and chasing her own tail.

There is nothing wrong with your cat. He is trying to train you to be a good parent to him.
