My newly aquired six month old kitten is perfect in every way, he's laid back, friendly, plays fetch and uses his litter tray like all good cats should - however... he also insists on pissing on my bean bag in my living room! every opportunity he gets he pisses on it - its lucky its a leather bean bag so easy to clean up, but I can't understand his obsession with it!?!?! how do i make him stop???

My 2 month old kitten wets the duvet every morning. I have dry cleaned my duvet on numerous occasions and sprayed it with odour eliminator which contains citrus zest but she keeps on wetting the duvet. She does not do this in any other part of the house. I have also sprayed my duvet with felliway but the no avail. Can anyone help me on this matter....

My 6 year old cat had a funny turn last week, we took him to the vets straight away where he had various tests, it turns out that he has a heart murmur, but it has caused thickening of his heart muscle and will be on tablets for life.
Has anyone else had experience of this?
If so how old did your cat live til with this problem?
The vet said that she cant really give me an answer of his life expectancy.
He is now almost back to himself, but im not letting him out just yet, he is enjoying being spoilt with poached fish etc!!
I would just like a personal point of view as well as the vets proffesional one.
Thanks.

I was wondering if anyone has an innovative way of capturing a kitten in a feral colony without using a trap. I've tried feeding them and petting them but damn kittens are fast. Using a trap, I would probably get the big cats first which isn't what I want. My 6 month old kitten needs a friend and I might as well give a feral a good life rather than live on the street. So anyone have an innovative way of catching him or her? Thanks.

I want to get a kitten but I don't want to get a really fluffy kitten because I don't really like FLUFFY, FLUFFY cats, I just want a cat that's fluffy but not too fluffy. Like one that's really soft and friendly. Can anyone recommend a breed?

She will take 1 of her 3 week old kittens to a location away from other 2. She does it with all of them usually some time during the day. It's NOT the same cat each time. Usually she drags it from the closet in bedroom to under a chair in the living room. She might lay their with it and nurse or she might leave it under chair and go eat, play, etc. Usually it will start crying and I will take it and put it with the others. Later the mama may bring that one back out or it may be a different one. She will do this several times a day and has been doing for about 3 days now. It's driving me nuts! Also, I have 2 other kittens that have lived with mama for 7 months, will they hurt the kittens? Having a hard time keeping them away from the babies.

This past April I was horrified to spot a young & emaciated wild cat in the back woods of my apt. -- first spotted by my neighbor in Dec., 2005 who said he was feeding him - evidently not enough as the cat's bones were showing. Since that day of falling in love with him, “White Socks,” I’ve faithfully been feeding him, "9 Lives" canned food, "Friskies" dry food along w/ 'Half & Half' to drink – He won't drink water but from puddles and my neighbor found that he preferred the above vs. milk. Frequented twice a day for feeding, it's been difficult to establish a schedule, there’s another tamed/outdoor cat that perhaps due to cooler weather has become aggressive/territorial. I've recently resorted to spending hours at my window protecting my love's food. With winter approaching I’m terrified as how to help my cat. Pls, tell me how to win him over, food isn't enough. Two immediate concerns – what to feed in the winter and how to provide a warm secure haven on my baron porch. Thk You

I started noticing the "rice" looking pieces around my cat's anus/under his tail and then saw the tiny white pieces in his stool. I looked them up online and saw they were pieces of tapeworms, but I haven't been able to locate anything that talks about how harmful it is for the cat. He doesn't have a loss of appetite, weight or dehydration and isn't being lethargic like the symptoms I have read say. Can they ultimately be deadly? I am ordering a tapeworm de-wormer off of 1-800-Petmeds tomorrow, but I was just curious as to more information about them and how serious they are.

i found a 3 week old kitten last week he's now 4 weeks and since he has been in my care he pee's alot but he wont poop. How do I get him to poop? I've tried everything cotton ball, veggie oil nothing seems to work. I've been giving him 2 percent milk and mixing it with water. He seems to take to that nicely, my second question is should I start giving him can food at this age and how? Considering his back teeth are coming in.
