I have a 6 month old kitten and today I noticed her bottom lip was swollen, it has little white spots on it also, It dosen't seem to be giving her any trouble eating or drinking but when I tried to touch her bottom part of her mouth she acted liked it hurt. Does any one know what this might be and how could I help her without going to the vet? Please if you have any rude comments about my question please go some where else

Hard to say but I would recommend if you don't want to take her to the vets then bathe the affected area in warm salt water to clean it up and do this maybe three times a day keep her inside resting as much as you can and if this fails to clear up within 7 days then a vet visit should occur for your kitty's sake.

Hmm, hard to say. It may be an insect bite or similar, or she might have gotten acne (yes, sometimes cats get pimples - I think it's because they'll drool a little when they're happy, but I'm no expert)
I'd suggest monitering it for a couple of days; if it stops hurting when you touch it, and goes away, that's well and good. If not, see about taking her to a vet - if nothing else, he'll be able to recommend something to put on it

well it sound like maybe an infection, when my cats eye got infected, instead of taking her to the vet, first i tried something, my friends mother said it would work, and it did, get a small cup, boil some water, pore it in, wait for the water too go warm, then make very strong tea, (no milk or sugar) lkeave the tea bag in for about half an hour, then take a cotton ball, soak it in the tea and then pat her lip with it, do this atleast 5-6 times a day, i garantue you it will work, it will take atleast 2-3 weeks for it to heal properly, if it has not healed after a month, then im afraid you may have to take her to the vets. good luck!

Really, avoiding the vet in this case probably is not the greatest idea. I would guess it's some sort of abcess, but since I can't actually see the cat I couldn't tell you. If cost is the issue, talk to the vet beforehand and see if there are financing options available, many vets offer some sort of credit/payment plan.

Once, I had a dog and her nose swelled up and when we called the vet, he said not to worry, that it was a spider bite and that it should go down in a day. If it didn't then we could take her in, but the swelling went away and she turned out okay. I remember it scared me because it looked so bad, like any allergic reaction would.

Hi not knowing what sort of sore/injury this is the only good answer I could give you is to seek professional help in the way of a vet in case she needs some form of medication...when it comes down to health issues it is always the best course of action to take unless we are 100% sure of what it is we are dealing with & if we know how to deal with or cure it ourselves..

Have a close look to see if there is a particular sore spot. She could have been bitten by an insect, or have flower spikes/thorns in her chin.
Do the spots look like acne? Cats can get acne and often need to get ant-biotics to clear it up.
Bathe her chin with some betadine (iodine solution) and see if that clears it up.

She could have burnt her lip on some sort of chemical that shes tried to eat, or it may be some sort of thrush sounds silly but my neice gets those spots on her mouth once when she got thrush(not genital thrush) best really to take her to the vet if shes ingested something she shouldnt have it could be very serious and fatal. domt wait another minute. good luck
