He needs his whiskers the way you need to be able to feel the ground with your feet. They are not an accessory or just a decoration on his face like whiskers on a human. They serve a purpose and removing them is cruel.
Go look in the mirror at your ears. Do they stick out from your head? If you have long hair, pull it back and stare at them for a loooong time. Are you sure they don't stick out just a little? How would you have felt if your parents had decided to cut them back when you were a kid?
Okay, maybe they might look better, but the human ear is shaped that way to serve a purpose---just as a cat's whiskers are the right length for each cat.

Do you know the reason a cat has whiskers?
obviously not.
Whiskers are there for many reasons including helping the cat figure out sizes,if the cat can get its head inside somewhere including its whiskers then the cat understands that it will not get stuck.
Cutting a cats whiskers is not a good thing to do,they are there for a reason and if you cut them off you are putting your cat a risk of injuring itself.
Dont be cruel

This really isn't a good idea. The whole point of cats whiskers are so that they can judge if they can fit through certain sized gaps and holes. The whiskers length are the same width as the widest part of their bodies. If you cut their whiskers then they wont be able to judge if they can fit through things and are likely to end up stuck in places

What the hell are you doing cutting his whiskers. Cats have nerves in their whiskers so when you cut them it will be painful for him.
How would you like it if I cut off your ears because I thought you looked better with none?
You are obviously a total idiot and people like you should not be allowed to own pets.
UPDATE: i have just read some of your previous questions and it seems that you are an idiot, I feel very sorry for you that you dont have a life and obviously are of very low intelligence.

I think you would look better with your feet off, perhaps we should sedate you before we perform the operation. What do you think?
Cats whiskers are not a fashion accessory. They are there to gauge how wide a gap is so that they know if they can fit through it. If you cut them it might get stuck in a fence.

You must be joking? You should never cut a cat's whiskers! The whiskers are the cat's tool for knowing if he/she can fit through certain spaces.

Why would you cut his whiskers? That's like cutting off your finger tips. It seems cruel to do if it is only for vanity. I think I would just quit cutting his whiskers and nevermind the sedation.

I hope you are some sick joker.
A cat needs its whiskers, like you need your nose - how bout you try cutting that off?
Grow up.
Yes just read your other questions too!!
So at least we know you are not serious, but you seem to have some form of an attention problem, where most people with this problem actually want to be liked - you want to be hated!!

I am under the impression that a cats whiskers are to measure the diminutions of such areas said cat goes through for the purpose of not letting it get stuck and therefore would not cut them in case they are nerves.

So don't cut his whiskers. Why would you? Do you declaw him as well? Don't forget he might look good stuffed and mounted on your mantelpiece.
Cat's need their whiskers. Just as they need their claws. And teeth. His whiskers show him where he can comfortably get his head and body without getting caught.
Maybe you should consider a different pet?
