I have had this cat for about 6 years I found her in the middle of a busy street and she has been with me ever since....She use to come in season EVERY month but because she got down in her back legs and had to take steriods every winter. I wouldnt let her out of the house. She is temperamental except when she came in season and then she loved every one...My father said she had to be hurting so I took her to the vet and had her fixed. Now the problem is she is losing hair in patches but no bald spots yet... she will only eat one kind of food...and the bowl can never be empty, either. She don't like people touching her unless she wants you to touch her, and if someone in the house does something wrong to her she lets me know by coming to me and screaming MEOW. I think the hips where she broke them in the street has arthritis and it is hurting so she is pulling there to try and give herself some relief. And to this day she doesnt go outside I fixed a window so she can bathe in the sun.

On june 12th my cat gave birth to 4 kittens. we got rid of 3 of them and kept one and he will be 14 weeks on monday. We want her to have another litter but we dont know when she could get pregnant again. someone told me that you had to wait until her kittens stopped nursing but he is still nursing once a day.

I mean you can have a conversation with him! if you talk to him he'll talk right back to you, he always has something to say, i mean i think its great but why is such a conversationalist? he's not siamese or anything like that, he's white with brown eyes, (domestic shorthair) he is VERY affectionate too, loves his stomach rubbed and loves to be around people ALL the time, he doesn't care where you touch him as long as your touching him

Our outdoor cat (a stray that we've "adopted") had her first litter of kittens Memorial Day. We were able to place the kittens in good homes with family/friends. Soon after the kittens were weaned, we made an appointment to have her spayed. The vet was about 2 months back in appointments - during this waiting period to get her fixed, she went into heat and we think she might be pregnant. We still want to have her fixed and avoid another litter of kittens - but there is no way we'll wait until her scheduled appointment because that would be just 2 weeks prior to her approximate delivery date. The vet said that if we think she's pregnant they can try and fit her in sooner. The way we knew she was pregnant before was because her nipples became visible. Since they are still visible from the last litter, we don't know how to tell now - unless we see/feel kittens in her tummy and at that point, I don't think we could stomach aborting them. Any suggestions on how to tell? Thanks!

I have two female, spayed sisters, they do not always get along well. Twice this month I have found what appears to be a claw on the floor. They are about a year old. The claw looks hollow . Is that normal?

She got Eclipse 4+FeLV. Her eyes are bright and she is alert, but she doesn't want to get up. Should I call the vet or just wait it out?

My cat is 7 years old and just started urinating (& occasionally deficating) on my carpets. She doesn't have a health problem and does use the litterbox on occasion.

When my kitten got worms, I gave her the pill down her throat and then 2 weeks later gave her the other one. They went away. Then one of our other cats got worms. I can hardly get the pills down his throat and it's a huge fight. He usually bites the pill and he starts spitting it out, is there an easier cheaper method than what I'm doing. I already have the pills from the vet that cost quite a bit of money, can I grind them up?

My kitten is about 3 weeks old, but shes acting very strange. First of all, she always lying down and never wanting to get up, she's very limp. Secondly, she leaves her mouth open and gives short 'meows' and doesn't want to eat. Thirdly, when she lies down sometimes, she starts "air kicking" with all her legs and tilts her head backwards and cries. What is wrong with her?
