That's not a cat. That is a special speed trap fur covered robot. Doesn't the blood look real? There is a camera on the street lamp near by to take a picture of your license plate. Expect a letter and a ticket.

i nearly have tears in my eyes. don't worry it is not your fault, if you didn't do it on purpose then no one can blame you. it could of been any one driving down the road. i hope the cat is OK. if you have a nice vet then they will probably not mind having glance at it IE: looking at it for 5 min or so between appointments to see if it is worth taking it in. it may be best to put it to sleep but i will pray there is a hope for it. i hope you get on OK, bye.

I hate cat's but I would hate to think of any living thing suffering.Someone else has hopefully taken it to the vet while you have been on answers. And please don't speed I have 2 lovely children and I can't stand people who break the speed limit if you hit a child at that speed you will kill it,it is very irresponsible and really not worth going to jail for the extra few seconds you may save.

You MUST try do do something! Find the owner if it appears to be someones pet or at a minimum call your local law enforcement and ask for animal control. They can assist in directing you to the nearest emergency Vet. If you don't you'll never forgive yourself later. After all it was an accident. Do the right thing!

Don't just leave it. At least if you take it to the vets, they can dispose of it in a dignified way rather than having it rotting on the road plus they might be able to determine whos it is via a chip etc

How do you know you were doing 50? I mean you could have done 48, 49, 51, 52

If there's any movement, bring it to a vet. Bring it there anyway to dispose of the remains if that is all that can be done.

Some municipalites have laws requiring you to notify the owner that their animal was hit, so the vet can check for a microchip as well.

If you are really sorry you would not be on here you would be on your way to the vet with the cat to have it put down out of its pain.

Just make him comfortable, and watch your speed as you've killed a poor innocent cat!
