Fleas have been brought in to our house from our two cats and nothing will get rid of them. I have treated the cats with the spot on, powder and spray, also combing them daily. The cats have not been in the house for a few days and not really combed many off them so the are not really the problem. However the house was riddled with them, we have used powder, spray and flea bombs, washed every bit of soft furnishings we have and cleaned and hoovered the house really thoroughly. But my partner is still being bitten! The council can't get out to fumigate the house for over a week and we have no other pest control in the area. Does anyone know what to do? PLEASE HELP!!!! We are desperate and will try anything! Thanks in advance XX

She is so cute but i have put her into the litter tray and she is eating the cat litter ???

we have got 2 other cats and i dont remember them eating the litter when we first got them.

Dont worry we are keeping them apart when we go to bed. Ive put kitten food down and done everything right , I just dont know what to do about the litter tray. should i remove it completely and just put newspaper down ???

anyone else who has had this prob, I would appreciate your advice. Thanks

Well, just for some background info, my dad is a mental case piece of shhhh*t. Last night he let my one year old house cat outside, without telling anyone. Well, he locked her out. We looked around for her last night and today, but didn't think TOO much of it, as sometimes she's kind of shy. Well, today my mom heard meowing by the window, so she looked out and there was my cat. It's been pouring in buckets today, and it was drizzling last night. She was soaked, freezing cold, and probably was like that since last night. She also has not been spayed yet, and a local vet told us recently that FIV (like HIV, except cats) is very common among the stay cats in this area. My dad is beign a jerk, as always, and my mom (even though she was kind of upset) does not think my cat's health is a concern at all. I really think she should be taken to the vet, just to be safe. Does anyone agree? I can't believe she (my mom) acts like she doesn't care..

ever since we left our cat at home alone a couple of days for vacatioin, he's been going to the bathroom on the couch. he likes a lot of attention, so he probably got angry or lonely, but the problem never stopped. we've been keeping him in a seperate room at night, and keeping an eye on him during the day. it seemed like he was over it. but today we accidently left him out and he did it again. what should i do???

I am getting a pair of male 3 month old kittens, and i was wondering if it was ok to give them dry cat food. If not what do you recomend? I am also trying to think of names for both, but i will look at their personallitys before naming them.

Justin Timberlake was decapitated in our lawn tractor. I constructed a new head out of some cardboard, elmers glue and black yarn. It's just not the same. He doesn't even try to sing...he just sort of lays there. And he smells some too. How do I let go of my favorite rock star?

I am now calling him "Justin Just Lays There" so my kids don't get freaked out.

i got him about a month ago. I thought with time he would get better but he just doesnt seem to like people. He gets along great with the other cat and cuddles n plays with him but if i try to pet or touch him he runs away or hisses at me. I have barely held or touched him in a month, I dont even feel like i have a kitten. I think I may give him up because I have no idea what else to do. I try to put a treat in my hand he will run up snatch and run away, i try talking calmly and playing he just wants nothing to do with me. Any ideas?

Sigh. I just discovered my cat has been pooping in my backyard. He does bury his waste, so it's not obvious to the naked eye. Should I follow him out there and clean up after him promptly as I would with a dog? How long will the stuff take to decay?

Ever since I got him when he was about 6 weeks old, he's been eating a lot (like 5 cans of Fancy Feast every day) and goes to the bathroom after each meal, which is almost always diarrhea. He's now about 7 months old.

Today he had gray diarrhea with some blood in it. Another kitty I had (now deceased) had worms so I treated both of them (even though this one never had any visible worms in his stool) with medicine.

So should I be worried that he keeps having diarrhea and is always hungry? After I dewormed him, he did grow twice as big as he was and the "pot belly" dissapeared.

He's also never had any shots since I got him. He's neutered.

I have 2 cats with my BF. When we first got together, he had a female cat who used to go absolutely nuts for no reason. She's a young playful kitty cat. Then, he moved to my city and we adopted a male cat. We have now had these cats together since April or May i believe.

The female cat has stopped being so crazy and is more calm. The male cat we adopted has stopped wanting to be held and is lazy as I ever saw. They will start to fight over, nothing, it seems like. They tolerate each other for the most part, but all of a sudden they will start to yell at each other and start batting at one another.

They don't hate each other do they? Are they jealous of each other?

I did, and he just died. I am very sad. I took him to the vet today and they said he was 3 weeks old. I tried everything and it looks like he had pnemonia and could not breath. I feel so terrible. Anybody ever have a similar experience? How did you get yourself to feel better? When you care for them, you get so attached, and it just broke my heart.
